Much needed loss Folksssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ON THE ROAD TO FIRING THIBSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hart is mad at KAT for not making the extra effort rotating

he should be yelling at thibs...43 mins for KAT is comical

Having OG on Tobias F'n Harris on both of these possessions is just criminal coaching. Someone log into Thibs Fanduel account.

And coaches know to keep Harris in the corner, keep OG away from disruptive defense. Nurse did the same with Tobias last playoffs
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Until tonight I did not think it would be possible until the off-season, but after this game I think it could happen during the season.

The Knicks FO knows he was good for building the team and the culture, but they can clearly see he is coaching blindly now. If the FO thinks we can contend this year, they definitely could pull the plug on Thibs, because only a blind pig would think Thibs can take us deep into the playoffs.

Man, Thibs is sooooooo bad. There are some very good minds in the FO. They see it too. It is just a question of internal politics at this point.

That was more on brunson going too fast but also dude just ran into kat to get the call. Kat was pretty much set the contact just looked hard so they called it. Was probably worth challenging.

KAT is my guy but he didn’t have to put that extra forward motion force into the screen.

Yep. KAT leaned his shoulder into him. It was unnecessary

Still was and still is an issue: Tom Thibodeau does not practice how to beat a zone defense.

Goes back to 2021.

Miss assignment on the first one was actually poor communication from Hart and Brunson.

To be honest the 2nd one Hart should have stayed home with Beasley and live with the results of Hardaway, asking KAT to cover that much ground was gonna be tough. I don’t agree with the decision to trap Cade where they did which really set that one uh motion.

2nd game of a back to back was gonna be tough against this Pistons team that competes

If that’s not a legal screen, then all screens are illegal. You can’t tell me the push off screens are fine but standing still is illegal

a team with OG, Mikal, and Hart shouldn't be this bad on the perimeter. Those are all known guys that can defend. They are taught to overhelp and protect the paint.

Did anyone notice Brunson jumping the screen and slowing Cade down late in the game. Looked effective the few times he did it. Need KAT to do that instead of dropping. The defense is wild. Just fight through or go under screens all night with guys sagging toward the paint while the ball is out on the perimeter. Rushing back to cover the open man. Swish.

With a rim protector like Mitch they can stay home on the perimeter. Heck even Mitch can block threes

Rookie Mitch blocked threes. He doesn't do that anymore

We can analyze the individual plays but personally I think we are losing all these games in the third quarter. There is absolutely no reason to keep the starters the whole third. It kills the legs. You force yourself to play slow just to keep some energy. This is happening game after game after game. Bench is not good is not an excuse. It is your job to put a playable rotation as a coach.

I dont think Bickerstaff was gonna challenge that out of bounds until Thibs took the TO. If Towns just quickly inbounded the ball we would still have had that possession. Another bonehead coaching move by Thib-DOH.

Don't know why we're debating this. KAT blatantly forearmed the guy whether he was moving on the screen or not

This team should not struggle against a zone, but it does because the coach is an airhead that has no clue what to do when someone goes away from man to man. It's been a problem for years and people brushed it off as not having shooting, now we have shooting and still look like deer in headlights when someone uses it.

22 pts and 6 three pointers in 18 minutes for Beasley. Thats how horrendous the defense was tonight. They were leaving this man open every minute he was in the game.
