in todays NBA its just impossible to maintain high level of 2-way energy for 40+ minutes on a nightly basis. The pace of play is just to up and down for most teams. Most teams are running 9 or 10 man rotations. They are asking guys to play high energy for the minutes they are in the game and then subbed out.

Maybe in a short series (if you are healthy) you can get by with these minutes...but for an entire season? Come on now.

Tired legs lead to sloppy rotations, not fighting over screens, not helping and recovering, silly fouls, and turnovers and shot short and missed FT's...everything that plagues this team down the stretch of games.

And yes we lucky have been decently healthy this year but the nicks and bruises are starting to add up. We aren't getting the same level of production out of some guys that aren't use to playing these minutes.

It effects everything!

Like I said both of those miscues are on Hart and I hate the body language here as well , he’s done this a lot all season when a poor play happens

The only conceivable call on Towns on the screen is that he ran into the defender and wasn’t planted. If that’s the case, then it’s more Brunson’s fault for not waiting for Towns to set the screen first. We’re talking about a half a second difference.

Detroit is on fire lately and a much better team than last year. Thibs got out coached. The bench disappeared in the second half. I'm just gonna move on. Who got next?

it's not all bad my guy

we're still the 3rd seed and it would take a monumental collapse for us to fall in the standings

plus, as frustrating as it is watching this team sometimes, imagine how much worse it would be having to watch other teams on a regular basis

only five teams have less losses than the Knicks (Cavs, Celtics, Thunder, Rockets, Grizzlies)

Knicks are more enjoyable to watch than the rest of the NBA

I didn't watch tonight's game though so I'm not one to talk. I was watching WWE Raw on Netflix

Don’t do this to yourself.

Wanna fly into Philly for Wednesday’s game? 5th row behind the Knicks bench.

ORTG/DRTG by quarter

1st - 115.9 / 112.9 (10th)
2nd - 123.3 / 109.4 (9th)
3rd - 123.6 / 110.6 (10th)
4th - 114.4 / 117.2 (25th)

The offense crashes just as hard in the 4th as the defense does.

Body language does suck, but seems like KAT was suppose to make the rotation.

yeah brunson went too quick it was on him. KAT set a fine screen but made contact like a half second too early because Brunson wasn't patient enough

most illegal screens are typically on the ball handler.

a team with OG, Mikal, and Hart shouldn't be this bad on the perimeter. Those are all known guys that can defend. They are taught to overhelp and protect the paint.

With a rim protector like Mitch they can stay home on the perimeter. Heck even Mitch can block threes

Rookie Mitch blocked threes. He doesn't do that anymore

The pass t/o was brutal. It was a careless blind pass. Sure nice play by Thompson but can't have that there.

No shame in losing to Detroit, but this came down to execution.

Sloppy first quarter. Sloppy fourth quarter. No bench production in the second half. Almost no bench minutes in the second half either. Second night of a back to back. Sloppy basketball could be attributed to tired players. I mean Clyde/Breen/Monica all mentioned it. I think Wally might have as well. I know the other three did though. I know they faded after taking control of the game and never recovered enough.

Tough loss. Who's next?
