All-Star or not, whatever.

What you need to know about Cade is that he dictates tempo and executes in the half court at an elite level. The overall impact isn’t elite yet, primarily due to sloppy turnovers at times and a lack of respect from the refs that should improve, but ask real numbers AND FILM guys what they see. He’s a maestro-in-development, and his game should translate really well into pressure (read: playoff) situations. He’s a really, really good player and getting better.

And yeah, non bum-ass teammates really helps, too.

I would've said Stewart instead of Sasser. I'd go as far to say that Stewart has been our third most impactful player this season, behind Cade and Beasley.

Duren has his issues but he has been better recently, and seems to be putting in more effort defensively. Still has a long way to go though.

Yeah, Stewart is much more a core guy than Duren IMO. Not as much upside or athleticism obviously but a far better defender, knows his role, and has that Pistons DNA that Duren lacks tbh.

Doubters need to watch this.

It’s what we’ve said… needs to improve as a finisher or change his shot profile a little, needs a little handle work on doubles and hedges, but he is incredibly skilled. Improving rapidly, and looks like a star. I hope the refs get the memo soon, that would help.

Right now? I wouldn't go that far. Brunson has shown he can do it on the big stage. Of course, Brunson is 28 yr old vet in his prime years and Cade is just coming into his own.

I might argue that Cade is having a better year than Ant so far. Ant is only scoring 1 more ppg but 9.4 vs 4.2 assists is a pretty massive gulf. Doesn't mean Ant isn't going to have a super bright future, but he's really not elevating his team right now.
