Just saw we are 0-8 against the Cavs, Celtics and Knicks this year.

There’s not really anything you can do if we’re being honest. Just not a contender. Maybe you do the Jimmy thing if the price is right and you’re not dropping any young players or picks as a shot in the dark but they need a rebuild.

Try to convince Giannis to go young for 1-2 years to reset this thing and hopefully he’s on board. If not you work with him to get an appropriate return to a place he’d hopefully want to play. Everyone else goes to the highest bidder.

Honestly, I don't really care about the "0-8 vs. the Top-3 teams in the East" thing. People had the same gripes the last Bud season when we won 58-games because we didn't have "any signature wins". There's obviously variables especially in those early season losses (no Middleton for any of them and either no Giannis and/or Dame for some).

I care way more about this team constantly dropping games against the Nets and Bulls, while showing zero game-to-game consistency. I'm just not convinced that there's no path to being a top-tier contender when you have the league's #1 scoring duo and a player the caliber of Giannis. It's gonna have to be a personnel move, cuz Doc sure as **** ain't gonna be the X-factor in any playoff series here.

The 0-8 vs top east teams is just one metric but I think we’re on the same page here. I don’t see how anyone can look at this team and think title contender unless they’re just looking on paper.

I think the difference of opinion is I don’t think there’s a roster move that can be done to change that fact.

If the Knicks are just gonna give Jericho Sims away for free, I'd much prefer taking a flier on him than Nick Richards. Send Marjon to Charlotte and have them send Thibs' favorite guy Taj Gibson back to New York. Everyone's happy.

Who the hell would be happy getting MarJon? Sounds more like a punishment.

This is like the 2008 Bucks trading the corpse of Malik Allen for literally any 24-year old prospect. Don't act like we all wouldn't have been ecstatic lol.

It's absolutely bizarre to be slightly more interested in the off-season in a year where Giannis is arguably having his best offensive season of his career and is still one of the two best players alive quite easily. I guess grabbing Butler would be quite a move, but I don't see it happening unless Horst realizes that his own fate may be precarious.

I really do like the idea of getting Advija

Blazers get: Hood-Schifino/Vincent/Lakers 2029 1st
Bucks get: Advija/Hachimura
Lakers get: Middleton/Wright

Or

Blazers get: Hood-Schifino/Vanderbuilt/Lakers 2029 1st
Bucks get: Advija/Hachimura/Vincent
Lakers get: Middleton/Portis/Wright

POR traded Brogdon, a lotto pick, an Unprotected FRP and 2 SRP for Deni.

He’s the best player on our team and on a terrific contract.

Why is POR eating garbage to gift MIL an excellent complementary player?

the FTD season was an exciting awesome season for me and alot of bucks fans. i think this team has a similar ceiling to that team. so on that level great! you just have to ignore this team as everything that team wasnt as it relates to fun, exciting, easy and proud to root for and embrace the ceilings instead. be proud of the assemblage of talent instead of effort, teamwork and basketball being played the way its supposed to.

hopefully that helps some of you guys. its the way im trying to look at it anyway.

Exactly, he is not going anywhere. I think they would trade Camara over Deni right now and even he I'd probably off the table.

Not a lot of bright spots in POR right now but POR not looking to move either of those guys.

To maximize their tank, they'd need to move Avdija. Get their picks back, and try to capture the Flag.

This deal does not accomplish any of that.

Agree, I earlier proposed a different deal that did.
