Out:J Hardy/Morris

Mavs get pair of veterans in position of need

PISTONS
In:Hardy
Out:B.Klitman+SRP

they get a replacement for Ivey

BULLS
In:Morris/Klitman+SRP
Out:THT/Craig

you get a prospect and a small asset

Spotrac doesn’t have it, but I’m not sure if Hardy is trade eligible due to his extension?

I am not sure how he would be valued on his extension, but the money is a low enough / short enough that you could just consider it a rookie contract? The club option on the third year provides some upside in future negotiations if he does develop..

But the trade feels better without Klintman.. Chicago isn’t trading anything that valuable and Detroit likes Klintman.

are those guys playing in Dallas? Or is this mostly a Hardy salary dump? If its the latter, then Dallas owes value.

I tried it on spotrac and it worked either with or without Klintman. Hardy is PPP, but that is no issue with DET's cap situation

I'd be OK with Hardy for an SRP. Hardy looks to me like a slightly better version of Sasser who we have pretending to be a backup PG.

I wouldn't throw in Klintman who, while raw, has some tantalising traits for a PF, and is under team control on a 4-year rookie contract

Yea ive seen conflicting reports. Some say because of the extension he cannot be traded until after the trade deadline, which makes a trade this season moot

The SP would have to be in the30's to make this look good.

Klintman I'm sure looked good enough to draft, the Bulls right now have Lavine at the SF with White, Giddey and Lonzo Ball in a 3 guard lineup, Williams, Phillips and Buzelis even Dalen Terry when does BK play?

Craig has been injured more than he's played. THT looks like an extra minimum contract to you but he comes in and forces the defense to pay attention to him. The Bulls don't need a 35 year old mentor to take any minutes from the young guys

Echoing Creaky, there is no way I'm tossing Klintman into any deal right, now as he is the player that every team in the league is hustling after.

A shot-blocking, three-point shooting PF.

Is he any good? No idea as he's played 4 minutes all season after recovering from an injury. Watch some tape on him, amd you'll understand the reluctance from Piston fans.

As a pistons fan, I don't hate giving Hardy a look. But I don't think he's worth essentially 2 seconds - eg this years recent pick and a future pick. I'm not really sold on Klintman as a prospect, but the front office just drafted him, so apparently they are. Super skilled big with limited AA. Sometimes it translates and sometimes it doesn't. That's a skill set that would really fit well on the team if it does translate for him to the pros.
