Great tank game.

Can we please just fire Chauncey and get a coach who will play the young guys finally?

Only real excitement is who wins the Blazers Prediction thread

I'm still hoping the team finishes 11-32 so that I can win.

Management had to have seen how the team played in the two games when Chauncey was out of town.

Perhaps it will happen during the AS break

Almost a perfect Tank loss.

Sucks seeing DC go down. Not good, based on the way he was holding it and his limp it was the bad knee. I get extending his minutes a little bit when Ayton is sucking ass...but if he's still got a brace on, that means he's not 100%. Not a good decision...he'll probably be out for a long while.

Scoot...everything looks better when a player is hitting shots. One hot night doesn't make up for all the bad nights, but certainly it's nice to see some shots going in. I liked the C&S threes. I loved the midrange game. As I've said forever, he needs to exploit that more. Had some nice defensive plays too. One very dumb TO where he didn't read the defense correctly, and walked straight into Simmons.

Camara just continues to do all the good things. I've never understood why they don't run more weakside PnR with him as the roller. Righty ball handler and Lefty roller is an advantage for the offense.

Murray looked better than his box score would indicate. Still not sure he's an NBA player. If he was 4 years younger, maybe.

Sharpe has looked more aggressive for a number of games now. Let that be forever, please. Like Scoot, he can't be a 3s or layups player...he HAS to include some midrange to keep defenses guessing.

I still believe Scoot can clean up his sloppy play if he weren’t dicked around with his role, playing time and was allowed to play through mistakes. But it takes time that Billups is not willing to give him consistently.

Scoot has played better in general lately, if you think the only thing making him look good is tonight you haven't been paying attention or you are far too pessimistic on him.

Scoot the past 15 or so games is a noticeably better player than Scoot looking at the games before that. Yep, any player can heat up and have a game like this, but I believe Scoot is showing improvement and to belittle that seems petty.

So I was trying to double check this, but it was a little hard to find, but I think Scoot is the youngest player to score the most points in a single game (at age 20) with 39, Simons did score 37 in a game at age 19

Not sure if you're directing this at me...but I've been calling out Scoot's steadier play for a while now. It's not really visible if you're watching boxscores/stats only. But clearly he's becoming more comfortable. The point of my post was to point out that it's silly to get too excited over one outlier good game...the same reason it's silly to get too down over one very bad game.

My guess would be that LeBron, Kobe or Kyrie would come close or beat it...

EDIT: Looks like LeBron had 43 at 19, 40+ three times at 20.

Oh yeah, that's almost certainly true...

39+ for a <20 yr old is very rare.

It's weird Scoot puts up 0 pts and 3 pts in a 5 game stretch where he suddenly puts up 39. I cant wrap my head around whether he's good

Take your best defensive player out of the rotation (sprained ankle) and run three small guards - wonder why the nets scored 132.

I am not sure Billups had many good choices though...

if you're just talking Blazer players, I can't think of any who came close

I'd also think that 8-10 on three's was also a Blazer record for 20 years old

Just saw an update...apparently in Billups' post game presser he mentioned that Clingan's injury is actually to his ankle (not his knee). So I guess that's likely good news.
