Fine with trading for Jimmy but not throwing our first away for it.

I believe it would involve something like Pat to the Pistons for a bucket of golf balls to get under the 2nd apron, then either Bobby and Midds to the Heat, or Bobby, Brook, and a bit more salary. This is just rough cap math though - I assume picks would need to be involved for both trades.

I don't hate it, but where are we getting the extra 2nd for the Smith trade?

We could probably flip AJax to a bottom feeder for some protected seconds. He’s not seeing the floor much if we get Jimmy and Rollins deserves more playing time as well.

Feels like Zach Lavine isn’t the same supreme athlete terrible basketball player he’s always been known for post his Jimmy Butler trade anymore but his strengths aren’t the Bucks weaknesses so I’m not sure where or why he fits? If all you care about doing is replacing Middletons scoring with a high volume scorer that doesn’t play much D, gimme Cam Thomas over Lavine at a fraction of the cost and it wouldn’t even cost Middleton. Seems goofy.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

I like LaVine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Depends on who's being sent out though of course.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This would be curtains. I can't imagine anybody thinking this would help us. Jimmy is at least good. I think I'd even rather have Beal.

Hell, give me Beal because at least that means you're getting paid in assets to take on his contract. I'm not bailing out Chicago like this. Gross.

Connaughton’s salary could be absorbed by any of the Wizards, Bulls, Grizzlies, Trail Blazers, Raptors, Rockets, Cavs, Jazz or Pistons.

Think we’d need to send out 2 seconds to do it.

Bucks have our 2031 second but we’d need the Heat or someone else to send one out too.

Whether or not Miami requires our 2031 first even if it’s protected is a big question. That certainly could be contributing to the Heat talking about how the offers stink.

I think Miami could be in to Bobby. We could send him or Brook to another team for seconds, but Bobby seems to me like a long term Heat Culture guy for them.

I don't see how you maintain a top 15 defense with a Dame and Lavine backcourt. Has any team ever won the chip with bottom 15 defense?

I don't want him but if we do acquire him I certainly do not give him an automatic extension of any length. Let the rest of the season play out and go from there.
