Ausar Thompson's three point shot is certainly looking better this year, although he started from such a low baseline that the only way to go was up.

He is now up to 30.4% on the season - relatively low volume at 1.3 attempts per game although he is also only playing 18.7 minutes per game since coming back from his blood clot issues.

Fred Vinson will be working overtime with him.

Both twins are shooting it better this year. Amen's % is up to 25% after shooting 14% last season. He's both shooting it more this year and shooting it better, albeit still really low volume similar to Ausar.

If they can both eek it over 30% and then shoot it at that consistency consistently, combined with everything else they do, we're looking at two of the very best players in the entire league.

I know Amen has more experience as a ball handler, which is why he went before Ausar.

Honestly, though, I haven’t watched him much. Every highlight I’ve seen, I’ve thought, Ausar can do that. I’m sure it’s about the same for Rockets fans.

Ausar does seem like 2% more athletic.

Amen doesn't love dunking (stylistically), I think Ausar prefers to dunk it more often.

These two will improve their 3PT shot. They are basketball nerds, they eat/drink/sleep basketball at home and in life they actually love this ****. Amen has really good work ethic by the sounds of it, I bet Ausar is the same.

It is a stated desire of Amen to be a good shooter, and I think like Kawhi he will put in an insane amount of work to make that happen. Udoka might have even been around for Kawhi's development if I'm not mistaken. We have a good staff, lot of ex Celtics and Spurs backgrounds.

People are seriously underrating Amen's ceiling. Give him a year or two to work on his scoring game. He is like a bigger, faster and way more athletic Jimmy Butler.

I can't get over how stupid their names are. I mean Horace and Harvey weren't exactly Fred and Ted but it was infinitely less distractingly annoying than someone called Amen and not even having the dumbest name in his mamas womb.

1000% agree from all the reports, that I,ve read as well state the same thing that both twins live/die for this game. Its going to fascinating to watch it all unfold.

I know they are on Houston and Detroit, both extremely athletic. I have seen both play several times, but I still don't know one from the other.

Of course I still get the Lopez twins names mixed up. Is the big haired one still in the league?

Both Amen (Amun) and Ausar (Osiris) are significant gods in ancient Egyptian mythology. These guys are special - ja is much more special- they are gifted - we have Derrick Rose and Ja and Zion and and Vince and MJ doing things IN game that we struggle to comprehend- I can understand edwards and these twins -
They can jump and run - none of it really surprises me-

Ja and rose and Zion do things that don’t seem possible in game athletically

Amen and Ausar are fine names. It's their middle name (XLNC pronounced excellence) that's a bit much.
