I am always surprised to see how bad Lopez is at rebounding; I know nowadays he just camps out at the 3-point line, but he is averaging 6 total rebounds a game for his career (4.7 this year), which seems ridiculous for a player his size.

I’ve heard some high level praise of him being a selflessly effective box-out guy and that he has a tremendous effect on team rebounding on every team he’s been with, particularly late in his career…Have to look for that.

Makes sense, especially with a rip and go guy like Giannis

yeah Brook boxes out, plays at the 3pt line and contests shots. Its awesome how he re-invented himself into a 3+D big man when he wasnt really good at either of those things when he was younger.

When he was till in BKN the guy averaged double digit boards but during Giannis peak, the guy gets praises all over for being able to box out his opponents for his team to sevure the board.

Makes sense when you have a freight train like Giannis in the fast break
