Jimmy works for me since he can be effective without scoring the ball, all these other max guys are just no D need to pound the ball to be effective guys which should be an easy pass for this team. We're beyond the point of diminishing returns when it comes to scorers, we need guys who can defend and do the dirty glue stuff.

I watched Herro up close for three years playing AAU ball in Wisconsin and seen his growth. He's a phenomenal offensive talent, but at his peak he doesn't come close to the bball iq of Middleton. It's Middleton's greatest asset.

He also doesn't have the mid-range game Middleton has and at his peak Middleton was a very good defender (not so much anymore).

A healthy and high functioning Middleton is the key to the Bucks chances in winning a title. Butler would also be a difference maker if they traded Middleton. But I wouldn't give up much more.

Defense is the only real separation for the two because offensively they get the job done. One thing Herro has going is that his offensive growth is blossoming sooner than it did for Khris. Herro is having a high usg/ highly efficient scoring season at the age of 25 vs 28 for Khris.

REGULAR SEASON. Come back when Herro is integral helping his team win the title and we'll concede he can sniff prime Middleton.

Anyway, this is the Bucks forum. Herro worship goes in the Heat forum.

Doesn't even matter because Herro is a doormat on defense. There literally is no player in the league even now I'd put Herro on before Khris.

I think we will see this structure of a Butler deal.

Miami sends Butler to Milwaukee, Lakers 2026 2nd and Heat 2031 2nd to Pistons.

Bucks send Middleton, Portis, Bucks 2031 1st to Heat, Pat to Pistons

Nick Van Exel (LAL) on defending the Stockton-Malone pick-and-roll: "Yeah,
I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

Horst shouldn’t have to give up a 1st but I have little faith in his negotiating ability. Miami has absolutely no leverage

Follow-up moves of convert Rollins and Robbins to regular NBA contracts. Then sign two new two-way guys

No reason to give up the first in a Jimmy trade

I'm not saying we should. But I expect that to be the piece that gets us over the finish line on this.

Fair enough. I would give up the 2nd but that first round pick is the last "good" asset we have left.

Just a hunch or are you fairly confident in this, GAD?

If we give up a first - literally the next pick of ours that we actually own, six years from now - for a 35 year old we better **** win a championship.

I still think that the Bucks need Philly to bottom out and become sellers at the deadline because I think Yabusele would be a key to them having a monster rotation. He would be even more valuable if the Bucks ship off Khris and Portis.

If they give up the '31 1st for a Jimmy rental, Bucks' fans need to orchestrate a hostile takeover of the franchise. Talk about Save Our Bucks. Save them from being moved to Seattle in 5 years.

Middleton is far superior to all those players, if healthy. The guy just averaged an efficient 25, 9, & 5 last postseason; which is close to prior postseasons. Herro averaged an inefficient 17/5/4. And I'd say Middleton's defense was OK, better than Herro's.

Can Middleton ever be that player again? I don't know (ankles seldom derail careers). That's why the Bucks would be trading him; for more assurance. Also, they could use the defensive upgrade w/ Dame & Brook (in certain match-ups) out there.

Conceding a 1st rd post-Giannis years, for a rental/old guy, is a deal-breaker though.

I've seen Middleton at his best. He's never been better than current Herro

Khris put up 25/6/5 in a finals series win lil pup.... Going into another teams forum and speaking INSANITY is quite the bold move

I know you were responding to peak Middleton convo but that makes me sad it was 3.5 years and like 6 surgeries ago.

Somehow he was even better against Pacers last season to make you feel better, I think Middleton will still be a big positive come playoff time.

The march of time is sad and sports really puts it into perspective. I was constantly sticking up for rookie Giannis on here at one point lol

I'm in the minority, but I personally do not want to see a trade of any of our top 9. Let them bring it home.

Including the '31 pick would be dumb. Really dumb.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Replacing Taurean Prince is the priority, not bringing in a geezer.
