Would Cam Johnson for Scoot make any sense?

Not sure if this would be a straight up trade or if someone needs to include picks.

How about Cam Johnson for Scoot?

Cam Johnson has definite value - but to a team like Portland, I think Scoot as a younger player with more potential has more value to them. Cam Johnson would be a nice touch for a contending team (OKC comes to mind)

Nobody knows how Scoot will look under a new coach after Chauncey finally gets fired

Yeah, IMO, Scoot was just too strong a prospect to tap out on yet...Billups, on the other hand... :noway:

This deal makes zero sense for POR.

Who is going to play pg? Simons?

That would be a disaster.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Can Cam Johnson post regularly on the intricacies of the CBA?

If Portland is willing to do it, then Brooklyn shouldn't be because it means they're sure he's a bust.

I'm not saying the Blazers should trade Scoot for nuetral value, but I think they'd be lucky to find a team to offer them an expiring contract for him.

I’d take him in a heart beat for the Jazz. Second draft guys hit all the time, I don’t think you’re getting much value but I’d probably trade CLE 25 pick for a shot at rehabbing him.

My general rule on prospects drafted in the lottery is that teams should give three full seasons before moving them. Scoot has played a season and a half. I'm just less convinced than Blazers fans that coaching is the issue here.

Rebuilding teams who struggle to get players to take their money anyway should be open to taking on two years of his rookie deal, but that's his current market, and to make the O.P. legal the Nets are going to have to take back another contract. If they'll do that, the Blazers should consider it.
