Yes, Luka is the reason for Mavs losing games, he should have trained his calf muscles better. Trolls in this board never disappoint.

Is it just a pure coincidence that Luka misses games every season?

Genuine question... but every season there is a pattern to Luka's season.

This doesn't mean the post quoted isn't a provocative since he's randomly bringing up a player from some other team.

Well the reason I brought up Brunson is because of usage. Lot of the reasoning ppl use on why Luka has these injuries is because his usage due to the coach and roster assembled. But Brunson's usage is through the roof playing for Thibbs; he's much smaller, yet seems to have a better handle on how to take care of his body.

Btw, Brunson is 6.2 not 5.11 like someone claimed, that's a huge difference. And he also missed time due to injury in the past. When Mavs needed him the most in playoffs for example. That was the worst.

Prefer Brunson over Luka is the final delirium of this forum. RIP forum.realgm.com
But i can understand why, Luka is a foreign so narrative is different for him.
Even Jokic was (and he is still) criticized more than his faults.

I can't believe that some posters defend Kidd at any cost but they are the firsts to attack Luka.
But time doesn't lie...just like a lot of past arguments.

None of us prefer Brunson to Luka, the player. But the work ethic (conditioning, taking offseason regiment seriously, leadership, heck, even willing to take a pay cut for the team), yeah, I'll take that over Luka's attitude. Sorry if im alone in that.

I can't understand how it's possible call out Luka or Kyrie after that stretch of games who clearly show why we had those PO runs and win games.

Luka is our best player , our best offensive coordinator and our best assistant coach.
He did 3 jobs in last 5 years, he deserves a little bit of rest honestly

Luka dropped 60-15-10 in the face of Brunson at the MSG, they are not in same tier. Come on. Be serious.

You can't JUST use numbers to compare a 6-7 and 5'11 guy. Brunson is a heck of a player to do what he does at his size. It takes an incredible amount of will power. Brunson is also a leader in his own right. Pound for pound a lot of these smaller guys are actually better players (when you consider what it takes for them to compete with guys they give up 5-7 inches to) but I digress...

Just imagine how much better than Jokic is Luka by this inch logic. ;) Wemby a way worse than Trae Young.

Funny enough you weren't exactly Brunson fan, when he was in Mavs. On the other hand you were Luka's hater 1 year before he was drafted , so everything is business as usual here. I'm sure you will be ecstatic when they trade him, even if that means no more playoff success for Mavs. No more fat, lazy, white Euro is worth something, I guess. I can understand how difficult must be watching your team being totally dependent on player you hate.

You are not alone in that, i agree with you.
It make me made at him too.

But Luka conditions is not a top 3 Mavs problems right now, he will come back and carries us to PO and another good PO run like almost every year in his career.
We need more from the coach (mostly during his absence) and evidently we cannot have it.

And funny enough you talked even more crap about Brunson when he was here, and now he's proved both of us wrong. And how did he? By busting his butt and working hard.

If only all Mavs PG had that mindset. Maybe there's a hope. Steve Nash focused more on drinking and partying when he was in Dallas than basketball. Then to prove Cuban wrong for not paying him, he completely changed his ways when he went to PHX.

I don't care about other team's player, especially after what he and his father pulled off. **** them both. You apparently care more about him than your team leader. Maybe you should rather cheer for Knicks. :D

You dont care about any player thats not from your country. I want my favorite team of 35+ years to win every year.

Okay forget Brunson, I'm happy to, cant stand him and NY. But what if Luka put in to his body what Lebron did, or MJ, or any all time great. A perennial MVP. A tthis rate, he'll never be an MVP of the regular season or finals. And don't bring up genetics, The man's father was an athlete, and his mom is built like a supermodel. He has zero excuses.

You have brought Brunson as a role model, a player who didn't even want to listen to Mavs proposal and left the club for nothing. He basically put them few years back in developing the roster. Yes, great role model.

That are his genes. Looking familiar?

There's a difference between role model and work ethic/drive. Luka isnt strong in either category

And genes come from both sides:

He's at least more devoted to Mavs than Brunson.

Thankfully his father's genes won and Luka is not 5'7 hairdresser.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
