Made me realize how far away from the hoop we’re running our actions this year. Screen-roll we were running around the line last year, seems to moved 3-4 feet farther back this year. Look how much functionally closer the Spurs player locations are to the basket in this clip, and of course, an open 3PTA off a cut is a good thing too. We should run more cuts and more offense closer to the basket, we’re too spread, too stationary, too far away

No! Set up at the logo so you can cook! Dribble down the clock to 2 seconds, THEN start your move from 30 feet out! hIGhLiGhTs! RINGZZ!!

Teams that coast/suck for month long stretches winning titles is the outlier (I'm not even convinced it has happened as much as you're trying to suggest it does, but I don't care to look it up). Funny, the one year we were great in the regular season and didn't go months long of **** effort was the year we won a title. What a coincidence. I'm not convinced we beat either Denver or NY in a series right now.

Not that what happened 15 years ago matters at all in comparison to today, but the C's not having HCA in the 2010 Finals hurt us in the long run, didn't it? Also, that team was notorious for blowing double digit leads all season, and they ended up blowing a double digit 4th quarter lead to lose the title in Game 7. Almost like the habits you build up all year follow you to the Playoffs.

The 2023 Nuggets went 7-10 in their last 17 regular season games and the 2022 Warriors had a 7-16 stretch in february-march. The 2021 Bucks that won the title ? That was the lowest seed of the Budenholzer era (they also had separate 0-5 and 6-8 stretches). Hell even the 2018 KD Warriors ended the year on a 7-10 run.

The Nuggets stretch came at the end of the season, when they had a relatively big lead for the 1 seed and clearly took their foot off the gas. The Warriors had Steph out for a huge chunk of their rough stretch. You might have a point with the Bucks, I don’t remember the circumstances behind that one. Either way, the overwhelming majority of the time a great regular season team wins it all

I'd follow for Fleming.

Honestly if HOU passed us in the standings, I wouldn't hate it. One step closer to him. I draw the line at the Knicks or Bucks, though. Any western conference team is welcome to bump us down the standings/up the draft board if they can make a run.
