Vote Jokic

If SGA was 23-24 I'd consider him but I think 26 vs 29 isn't enough to get over Jokic.

Vote Jokic

Nominate Mitchell, Brown, and Booker in that order

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

For me, it was Wemby simply because he's got 6 years of team control and won't complain if his team isn't a real title contender for at least the next 4 years. Jokic, SGA, and Luka all definitely have more immediate value, but particularly Jokic and Luka may want to shake things up if the rest of the organization is mismanaged. (SGA seems happy in OKC, but their team trajectory looks near-ideal, nothing to be upset about. No idea what would happen if Denver sputters, or if Kyrie goes off the deep end again.)

I would wait to see consistent success (and health) before crowning him.
Jokic was the fresh 2 time MVP in 22, he finished 3rd in these rankings, mo one would (or should) have taken Luka over Giannis in 2020, Luka finished 4th in MVP and had great 1st PO as a 2nd year player.

V Jokic — I had him at one, and he’s still the most valuable on the board. Though Sega is next.

V Jokic
N Haliburton

I am a bit ambivalent about Jokic/Wemby 1 & 2 because it seems pretty clear Wemby is going to be an MVP caliber player perhaps as soon as next year and he is younger. But Jokic is an MVP caliber player now, and he isn't *just* an MVP caliber player, he is one of the strongest MVP winners in my lifetime. I think if you were born in the last 40 years, Jokic has to be on your basketball "Mount Rushmore."

I'm nominating Haliburton, though there are a lot of deserving players that I can see arguments for. I think he is a transformational offensive player - a system unto himself. There aren't a ton of guys like that in the NBA (Jokic, Trae, Haliburton, Luka ... maybe 1 or 2 others) and I think if you have that quality, you are a top 15 player. Emotionally, I do want to nominate Mitchell, but I think I have him a bit further down in the 12-15 range.

I agree with Wemby as #1 due to upside and team control. I like SGA at 2, just a shade better than Jokic due to age.
