Someone is going to have to explain to me why JV plus Davis is a positive value package. I have JV as barely nuetral on his deal (and that feels generous). Davis doesn't appear to belong on an NBA roster.

I'm keeping an expiring LeVert if that's the best offer.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Okay, here's another attempt at getting the Cavs a big while getting below the tax

However many Cavs 2nds it takes to Brooklyn
Niang and however many Cavs 2nds via Cavs to Detroit
Day'Ron Sharpe to Cleveland

LeVert's value?

LeVert + 2nd to Portland
R Williams + pick one (Reath, Benton, Murray, Walker)

Portland cuts a year off the deal and Cavs suck tax, preserve the Salary slot for a year; should be a culture fit and can be an effective 3rd big even if he can’t stretch.

I'm not making a deal for a guy who can't stay healthy enough to actually play.
Well at least we're not Detroit!
