I really don't expect to receive an offer worth considering this season. He was injured for a while, and was having the worst season of his career until the last 3 or 4 games, not to mention his incident. I'm fine holding if the best offers are little better than neutral value as long when the alternative is watching Tidjane Salaun playing starter minutes at PF :noway:

Yeah this is a clear hold until next season where;

1 We know who and/or where we draft
2 His contract is a little shorter and smaller AAV
3 His play hopefully deviates back to the mean

They won't downgrade him for picks.

In addition to the 6 firsts (which includes a possible unprotected 2028 Heat 1st post-Butler, plus a 2027 Mavs 1st protected 1-2), Hornets have 16 second round picks.

Think upgrade, not downgrade with that contract being fair and declining cost.

Ok. That makes sense. What are they really looking for? A player in his prime or a guy younger than Miles? Any positional focus.
Not that the Celtics would do it…Miles and how many firsts for Derrick White?
Or is Charlotte more looking for a guy that fits closer to timeline of LaMelo and Miller? I think upgrading to a younger star potential guy is really rare. Teams just don’t trade those guys.

(looking from the outside) I think that third guy, who will complement Miller/Melo who is in the same timeline etc.. has the best chance at the top of this next Draft.. obviously Flagg would be perfect and would place the HORNETS in an incredible position for the future..but even if they are not so lucky and land a little lower,Edgecombe,Tre Johnson,Newell,Bailey etc..they would be very good acquisitions and then go to find a solid veteran to accompany them (by the way, I really like your Miles+ idea for White)
What would you think of Miles+filler (expiring) for Jrue..
Boston gets a younger wing while saving money...the Hornets get a high-level veteran to take the next step

I personally would rather trade Jrue than White, and cutting salary a bit may be important for the Cs starting next year.
I would still want a first attached. Miles and a first for Jrue….idk.

I don't think anyone would really be interested in him except as a "buy low" candidate, and Charlotte doesn't really have a reason to move him at that price.

NBA and their social justice warrior attitude is why there seems to be a lot of wrist-slaps for SERIOUS offenses. NFL for all their corruption/shady dealings, have done MUCH better with their domestic violence issues, same with baseball.

Let's not delve into that please. Opinions can run hot and nobody's mind is going to be changed based on any our hot political takes. Plus we want to still like each other.

And Ray Rice says the NFL hasn't mastered how to handle such issues either.

I think Ray Rice was actually the turning point when the NFL started taking things seriously because of the backlash.
Point taken though.

Pistons and Lakers would probably be the two most likely destinations. LeBron is known to be a fan of Bridges and the Pistons have assets/financial flexibility and willingness to make it happen.

he can be solid defending them 1 on 1, but can get lost in team defense.

He is currently averaging 6/15 on the season and making 20 mil. That is not in demand.

Right now would be a sell low situation.

I honestly don't think he has any value currently, he's better than he's playing right now but I wouldn't touch him with a 10 ft pole after all the things he's been through. Maybe some desperate, win now team could use him, like the Bucks, the 76ers... can't really see much of a market for him.
