Trying Ingram again...
Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, John Konchar and 2025 Grizzlies 1st for Brandon Ingram and Javonte Green
At this price, the Grizzlies could use Ingram for their playoff run then let him leave in free agency if they don't want to pay him
The Pelicans add some veterans that could improve the locker room a bit and provide leadership while adding a first rounder

Re: Brandon Ingram to Memphis?
Makes sense to me. Grizzlies would have the space to give Ingram a big yearly figure (and still squeeze in matching Aldama's RFA match offer) for a short number of years and keep the option of letting him go when GG or VMW or Wells are ready to take over or move Ingram and one or 2 of those guys and picks for a star when Ingram is a massive expiring. Might have to move Laravia for an expiring, but that's easily doable, he can shoot, some team needs that for this year and 5.1M next year.
Edey-JJJ-Ingram-Bane-Morant
Clarke-Aldama-Wells/GG/VMW-Pippen
and the young wings compete for the 9th man spot, one of the losers still gets 10 minutes a night as the 2nd wing off the bench.
Pelicans get a first, Smart expires next year and is useful, they should still squeeze in under the tax and can use the 2nd first on a center to pair with Missi after drafting some top pick (or conceivably Maluach if they fall with the first pick, guard with the Memphis pick, but probably they're getting a guard with their first pick).

Yea, fair. Could see Pels push for Aldama or Laravia as a prospect flier included. And re-route Smart to 3rd team? Pels can't really afford to have another 3pt. shooting liability as part of their core, and Smart is more of a win-now playoff player.
Which teams would want Smart?

Could Detroit use a tough vet like Smart with Ivey out?

Maybe so. But just like Pels, DET wants to maximize 3pt spacing around Cade. They already have Ausar, Duren, Holland lacking in that area.
