DAL - CHI - DET (Ayo, Williams / picks...)
DAL in: A. Dosunmu, P. Williams, J. Smith, B. Klintman
DAL out: D. Gafford, O. M. Prosper, M. Kleber, D. Powell, D. Exum, 2025 DAL 1st, 2025 PHI 2nd
CHI in: D. Gafford, O. M. Prosper, M. Kleber, D. Powell, 2025 DAL 1st, 2025 PHI 2nd
CHI out: A. Dosunmu, P. Williams, J. Smith
DET in: D. Exum
DET out: B. Klintman
Dallas adds two way combo guard in Dosunmu and Williams who has tool and has shown flashes of potential to be a good 3&D forward, and hopefully playing in Dallas helps him improve his game. They also swap Gafford for Smith, but should look to add another big for depth through FA or buyout market. Should be an upgrade now, and potentially more going forward. Dallas should have pretty good depth and matchup versatility.
Bulls get 2025 1st and early 2nd round picks, along with good prospect in Prosper; they also add Gafford who I think could be a decent and fairly paid stopgap C if / when they trade Vucevic. Kleber could soak up J. Smith minutes too. They also move P. Williams contract, and with all the incoming players expiring (apart from Prosper, who is on 3 mil deal) Chicago can have almost completely clean salary sheet in the summer of 2026 (depending on what they do with LaVine trade, and Giddey, White extensions) with only several guys on rookie contracts.
Detroit part is mostly to make salaries and roster spots match, but it also kind of makes sense from roster stand point - Exum could fit nicely in Detroit backcourt rotation as a defender who can hit open shots and move the ball.

Detroit passes immediately, Klintman is worth more then Exum to us, has a more valuable skillset, and is locked up for 4 years. We counter with a shiny Wendell Moore JR.

Don't think it is a problem if that is the case, Klintman doesn't have to go to Dallas, they could just move him (edit: Exum) into cap space / trade exception, or Bulls could take him, and Dallas can just sign a FA for the roster spot (with half season deals being worth 1 million, they would have enough room under the apron to add two players)

I don’t think Chicago Dallas cares enough about Klintman to ruin the larger trade. Just send Det a bit of cash and tell them to buy out Moore. Dallas can sign a rest of season contract under apron. Cycle 10 day game if you need to.
I know I target these Bulls a lot and I love the trio added to Dallas. The value I am not sure about. I think it’s probably roughly fair? worth it for Dallas

It is a bit harder when it is a bulk of players where each carries some, but not too great, value - if I were to break it down, I guess 1st and 2nd rounder from Dallas are enough for Dosunmu and Prosper is for Smith, or rather 1st and 2nd + Prosper should be enough for Dosunmu + Smith; might be even some surplus to offset Kleber and Powell as fillers (meanwhile, their combined contracts are smaller and shorter than Dosunmu + Smith, although those two are on good contracts, especially Dosunmu); and then it is Gafford for P. Williams, which I think is close to a wash, if anything, Gafford could be more valuable given their contracts - Williams has more potential and is positionally more valuable, but has really been up and (mostly) down, while Gafford is more productive right now (and in some way, fits a need).
If I were Dallas, I'd be willing to add Hardy too, but not sure if he can be traded this season and when.

Yeah I was breaking it down as
Gafford+second for Smith
Williams for Maxi+Prosper
Ayo for Powell+first
All seem ballpark, and make sense once combined?

I'd still rather have Vuc than Williams/Ayo, but realize I'm probably in the minority on that.

I’d rather have the Pistons contribute more value and get Ayo in this deal. Big fan, I think he has another level to reach.

Re: DAL - CHI - DET (Ayo, Williams / picks...)
Not for the Bulls. They take on an older nothing present to get a 1st and 2nd which they have to wait on to see if they ever develop. Draft picks are rainbows and unicorns that look so pretty to get but once they show up so many teams are left scratching their heads as to why they wanted these guys. If AKME are still in why do you want to trust them drafting when they've traded out of 3 of the last 6 drafts>
OK Let' swap Smith for Gafford, , you lose any outside 10 feet shooting, and the Bulls don't bring in that much shooting off the bench after you trade Ayo.
I'm not of the opinion that Ayo, Williams and Smith are the reasons for the inconsistent effort, they didn't inspire the Vuc team talking to and adding Kleber, Gafford and Powell to the uninspired veteran team that's left is bottom 10 time for sure

If Exum was healthy, I'd be interested in getting Exum for Moore and maybe something small (cash, meh SRP)
However, per Google
Exum was tabbed for a three-month recovery period after undergoing right wrist surgery in early October, and the Mavs have not yet offered an update on his status. The veteran guard can be labeled doubtful ahead of game action until that happens, and he can be regarded as out indefinitely going forward
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Re: DAL - CHI - DET (Ayo, Williams / picks...)
I have four keepers for Chi-guys who play with pride
Ayo, Matas, Ball, Smith
Those 4 look like a good foundation around 2 stars. We'll draft one and figure out the other
Ayo stays

Re: DAL - CHI - DET (Ayo, Williams / picks...)
feels really early in a rebuild that never started to have four keepers.
But I think Dallas should just try Powell, Exum, first for Ayo. Use a third team if Chicago is overly attached to their end of bench guys. Dump Exum with cash..
