What's more bogus? The LeBron decision or the Sasaki decision?

The craziest thing about all this is how hungry the Dodgers are to win, to make their own dynasty. How many aces do they have right now?

Hal is just looking at this and thinking, nope I need to save money.

Most importantly Yankees are under the luxury tax. I mean who cares about a World Series. Hal should just be putting up banners whenever we're under the luxury tax.

Dude, that could've been Hal or George. Yankees weren't getting him. Sasaki's free agency was so telegraphed.

this is so corny, so the dodgers are just going to get all the good Jap players smh they're worst then the Yankees ever was. So let me guess that other japenese outfielder that is going to get posted next year is going to sign with them too right smh wack. Anyway it's time for Yanks to move on, try and get rid of Stroman, get Kim for 2nd base I guess and maybe sign Flaherty or Santander.

Stroman should not be stopping anyone from doing anything.

Yankees should be seriously be ashamed at using some of these albatross contracts as an excuse, when they originally signed these guys to be cheap.

My favorite lie from Sasaki's team was that he was looking for a small market. Not one person in the world believed that.

Yah. He also said during the Soto negotiations “I know what the fans expect from me and I have the ability to sign any player I want regardless of tax thresholds”

He just won’t and I think he should be shamed for it.

These last few years just increased my respect for Tanaka who is frankly my favorite Yankee pitcher since Pettitte. Dude chose the Yankees, he chose pressure he chose to be on the east coast. Every dude since has straight up been a b*tch.

Roki wasted a lot of people’s time just so that he could avoid admitting he just wanted to play with Yamamoto and Ohtani

I hope he sucks. I hope Yamamoto is average. I hope the Dodgers get stuck in payroll purgatory with a bunch of average players and Ohtani, because that guy deserves to be on the Angels again.

Man Hal’s probably more pissed about the Dodgers making him look bad about his cheapness than about losing the World Series or Soto. Tough life.

Sasaki chose the Dodgers because he wants to play with his Japanese buddies. Him wanting to be on the best team possible is just as believable as Soto signing with the Mets because they have a better future than the Yankees. If it were about contending why aren’t any of these guys flocking to the Braves, Phillies, Astros or Orioles? Why is one team having a monopoly over a specific market?

Don't get mad at the Dodgers. Yankees have had the ability to do what they were doing for the past ten years and more. Point the finger at Hal. We lost our brand in pursuit of the money.

The funniest thing...Hal was so desperate to save money, I bet you he lost money in the long run. Players want to sign with the Dodgers for cheaper and with deferred contracts; Hal lost the Japan market, despite us getting a strong start with Matsui and Tanaka; the Dodgers are going to get the branding boost. It's not going to be Yankees hats that people are going to wear in rural China in the future...that type of global recognition goes to successful franchises that embody winning.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the Dodgers TV deal is silly-good and they sell out their tickets. They make more money than the Yankees. They'll lose a bit of that when the Vegas move happens, but only a bit.

This is wrong. The Yankees make the most revenue in MLB, and it's not particularly close.
