Dinwiddie goes to the bench and Mavs make a run. To think this coach sent out a lineup of Dinwiddie, Hardy, Klay, Powell for a minute is absolutely insane to me. Was basically forced to make a change after Hardy injury.

I think the issue with Dinwiddie is that he does too much without Luka and Kyrie at times. Too many hero shots at times and he just doesnt have the quickness to beat smaller guards off the dribble consistently. With that being said, just having Kyrie (a high level scorer ) out there does wonders for this team. A pure point guard that can play a little defense would do wonders when Kyrie and Luka were out, imo.

In Spencer's defense, other guys have to work harder to give him another option. Ive noticed how hard Gafford is working in the post to establish position. That helps.

Agree.
He is a great pickup at vet min but he has not to play hero ball. He can't. And Kidd has to tell him this.
Tonight he made 2 huge 3s, ok but his shoots selection is horrible. He cost us a lot of games.

Naji with the Alvarado steal

OKC offense without SGA is putrid, they are not talented enough. Maybe someone is overrated too.
SGA is a monster but if we trade for a stopper i like our chances.

Dinwiddie's problem is his horrible decision making and black hole defense. Luckily OKC play very tired because they're on 2nd night of b2b and miss all 3 important players. But still, Kidd could have had lineups with Grimes or Klay with Kyrie instead of Dinwiddie to help with extra defense and moving the ball. Klay and Grimes are actually very good at decision making plus they're both much better defenders than Dinwiddie.

You probably noticed Dinwiddie couldn't throw a single post pass to Gafford, he's THAT bad.

Has 6 TO's left and waits for a 12-0 run before calls something. What an idiot.

If we lose this game Kidd deserves a statue outside the AAC. He is an hero.

He makes the impossible possible.

The refs need to stop..this is why ratings are down. The foul on PJ was not flagrant foul. Your suppose to go up hard. Give me a break!

This is where we miss a defender like DJ Jr...we're missing that big athletic wing that can get after it on defense. And slow down a Jalen Williams, etc. Defense helps you hold leads.

We can definitely use another wing defender and someone who really gets after it. That's one thing about DJJ that he deserves more credit for. The dude put in work every game. He got after it!

I do not mind if Spencer attacks the basket. Those step back are the ones I worry about...

Return to Dallas Mavericks
