Re: PG Raptors - Bucks Roll to 3rd Straight
At time this season, seeing how Brook has lost half a step and Midds has looked clunky coming back from his surgeries, I've been really sad thinking about their decline from the players they used to be.
But I've never really thought about how devastating it will be when Giannis just isn't able to dominate anymore. Have to prepare for that eventuality by savoring nights like last night when he just won't be stopped.

Re: PG Raptors - Bucks Roll to 3rd Straight
I feel like the coaching staff has sped up advancing the ball up court, and then also sped up decision making with the ball in the half court offense. Instead of watching a teammate jostle for position for 5 or 6 seconds, if the pass is not there, the ball handler quickly swings the ball to the other side. Less stagnation and fewer stalled possessions.
Seems like a change.

The off-ball movement has been better across the board these past few games. Think some things have been habituated from all the inside-out possessions we've had that's carried over.
Giannis' off-ball awareness has been great. He's got the Dwyane Wade cuts down. His screen setting has improved, he's a killer on the short roll with great shooters in the corners. He's at the point where he can be a threat in the pick and roll whether he's handling the ball, setting the screen, or ranging around on the weak side. It's fun to watch and is kind of an extension of his overall improved patience. Between that and the touch on his midrange shot, it feels like he's rounding into his final form.
Now about those free throws.

We absolutely should not trade Khris away. Not for Butler for sure. Not for anyone else I would think at this stage of the Bucks lifestyle. It would destroy our tesm chemistry. Remember what happened when we replaced Scott Williams with Anthony Mason; completely destroyed the team chemistry..
Those KM/Bobby stretches together in the 2nd half were cringy.. we're trying to get defensive stops, run and gun... those two fly directly against that. Make the deal.

Yeah, someone realized that GA and Dame don't thrive trying to be an old, slow halfcourt slow the game down team. They are fast and thrive on catching the defense off guard -- especially off turnovers and defensive stops. I'd like to know which coach pushed for this. This is directly leading to AJJ starting and Rollins getting burn

AJJ starting has basically neutralized our potent starting lineup due to him being a massive negative offensively. Hopefully the experiment is over now

The Bucks are better defensively when Middleton is on than off, and the Bucks play at a faster pace when Middleton plays PG versus Dame.
2 questions for you? Why is the Bucks offense so dramatically better with Middleton and Giannis on but Dame off? Small sample luck, or something else? Maybe because Middleton is super smart and does a great job of leveraging Giannis?
Why is the Bucks defense so dramatically worse with Dame on than off? Not even Bobby’s defensive on/off numbers are that bad. Is it because Dame is the most uncaring defender on the team?

Prince is as big of culprit to our starting woes as AJJ.

That could be true but I really want a shooter next to Dame regardless. We saw last year with Beasley that this formula works
Prince is a placeholder in my eyes, he is very JAG. Doesn't really hurt you but doesn't really help you that much either, Khris is better than him obviously and when the games really matter TP won't play in front of Khris. It is concerning that Prince is shooting astronomically and still has a 0 for VORP, he hurts you pretty bad defensively I suppose.

This is a postgame thread for a game in which the Bucks started with a 14 - 3 and AJJ was starting. You in the wrong thread? What did he neutralize that got us off to the putrid start? Did you want it to be 14 - 0?

AJJ didn't play last night friend. I have been calling for him to be benched for 2 weeks and I will keep asking for it until it happens

Might be a good idea to watch games before commenting on them. AJJ didn't play.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: PG Raptors - Bucks Roll to 3rd Straight
Since Christmas, AJJ has had a much tougher time than Prince. Prince has played all 12 games, and has been positive in +/- in 9 of those games. AJJ has only been positive in 2 of his 11 games. AJJ has only been positive in Bucks blowouts.
In that span AJJ is a cumulative -42, whereas Prince is +57.
+/- is an imperfect measure, but I think it provides more value over an extended number of games.

this stat is awesome because they both play with similar units. affirms my point that AJJ doesn't work
