This is only down by 2 scores so it's not over yet. Goff has been clutched in the 4th by scoring when down. He plays within an aggressive system and not sway from it unlike Love. Only problem is they are facing my ROY whom has also been clutch but he's only a rookie which should not happen in the playoffs against the Lions.

21 point swing man. He had st brown wide open on that post in the end zone and the pick 6. You just can’t do that. Goff is a system quarterback
That's true with Goff running this offense but he has played their system at a very high level. Darnold was much more at fault for losing their game last week. Goff has kept the game close until late pressing to catch up, unfortunately. This is more on Daniels ability than any system they are running for him imo. So not giving their OC basic offense more credit than Ben has for Goff just because of this one game.

Yep. No 49ers or Cowboys to play against, home field, toughest team would have been Eagles

I blame the defense also. You can’t play man against Daniel’s that much is clear.

Imagine taking the chiefs, eagles and lions in a parlay for even money and losing this game

I thought this was a cakewalk to the Superbowl for the Lions and maybe they thought so too.

I know Detroit has injuries but do we want a guy who gave up 50 in the big game and has no answers to stop Daniels who we face twice a year?

Or do you want a guy that just got embarrassed on National TV and now has a grudge against Washington and Daniels?

The QBs from the NFC North were always going to be a question mark, when it mattered.

Positive for the Lions and an obvious statement but they can run it back and know half the defense was hurt.

One of the biggest chokejobs in recent memory.

Lol, 15-2, #1 seed, was everyone's NFC favorite, and then get smoked at home by a rookie QB, while your own QB is responsible for 4/5 of your own turnovers. And the 5th turnover was on one of your patented trick plays lol.

Eh, they were still blowing out teams and winning a bunch of games despite the injuries and were still most people's pick as the NFC favorite. They just got wrecked, plain and simple, and a lot of it had to do with their 5 turnovers. The defense being bad still wouldn't have mattered if they didn't turn it over so much. That's just bad offensive execution, and that comes down to the QB and the coaching. Credit to Washington's defense too.

But even for those people that wanted to give Goff the benefit of the doubt after the year he had, this was a pretty damning performance. Not sure how you could ever trust him to be the franchise QB when you have SB aspirations after this one.

GeorgeSears wrote:The Lions just squandered a 15 win season in the divisional round, which is something I haven't seen since the Packers in 2011. I suppose the writing was on the wall, considering how poorly they played defensively at the end of the season. There is definitely some bad luck involved, but it's still very disappointing.

Interesting that they’re both NFC North teams, put up gaudy wins and stats in the regular season and brutally underperform in the playoffs.
