I actually liked the Lions but they were showboating too much after they scored. That pi$$ed me off. They got what was coming to them.

It seems to be in their DNA. Works when you win but not so much in losses. (From 2 years ago)

Shocking victory. The chargers would be the harder game I think cuz we beat the eagles one and they are on the decline.

What is this life, I became a fan of the team ~20 years ago in part because of this board and the excitement people had when Gibbs came back. And over the years football became my favourite sport despite the relative lack of success on the team. But this team and this turnaround and the story of a new regime and a new quarterback a coach and select veterans who had **** to prove is the most fun I've ever had following any sport ever and it feels somehow more rewarding having gone through the last 20 years. And it has far exceeded what I dared hope - But now we're in the effing NFC championship game and nothing seems impossible.

Why not us - but if it's not us this year I sure as hell believe we'll have a chance whenever 5 is on the field over the next few years.

Hopefully this turn around inspirers the wizards and in a year or two things are looking up!

(EDITED: Detroit -8.5 is the spread)

I'm a homer, but there was never any chance the Commanders would be favored against Detroit lol. The question would have been if it was a double digit spread. It's not, wouldn't be shocked if it came down to a touchdown favorite for Detroit at the end of it. I actually think we have a puncher's chance against them. Their defense is a mash unit at this point so we'll see. It just wouldn't shock me if we won.

I riding a tsunami wave of homerism.

I think we have more than a puncher's chance to win. I won't be surprised if we win, either.
I said that last week.

I'm not surprised at all.

No offensive line, no Defense, that’s not how you win in the NFL playoffs.

I don’t think Dan Quinn and his Defense are the one, and Washington will likely have to find a new offensive coordinator to boot.
Aren't they on a 5-game win streak?

Eh, I mean we're ranked top 10 in defense if I remember right. We bent but didn't break on defense tonight. I think we have a chance against the Rams or Bucs but no shot past that unless something catastrophic starts happening to other teams. Jordan Love for example got hurt today.
It's been a perfect storm of good things so far for the Commanders.

JD5 can win.

I won't put anything past this team.

For my part, I will continue to say Marshon Lattimore sucks.

That is all.

We are headed to the NFC Championship game and you continue to hate  set it aside and enjoy the moment. We got something special going on and it’s only year one. Legit in the final 4 in JD5s first year. Insanity.

Lattimore was only targeted once on an incomplete pass on 3rd down on the opening drive on a 3 and out. Great game by him.

I'm going to keep complaining about him, especially as they keep winning. My opinion is they look like they made a great decision, but why mess up the mojo?

Well I think the real improvement on Defence was clearly by subtraction. Over the year they jettisoned several underperforming players they started the year with and kept tweeking till it was respectable

I was asking for too much flipping between the wizards game and the commies, hoping that the wizards would be able to pull a W against the dubs at the same time - i think my heart would have exploded. my gf just moved in with me in November and she said she had never seen me this animated before between the commies pulling it off and the wizards going into the 4th with a lead.

"why are you slamming the table so much? i've never seen you do that once, ever."

I really like Luvu and I think he's absolutely a net positive but yeah, the others are probably addition by subtraction, and/or confidence/incentive/culture. when guys are motivated, they perform better. JD5 effect.
