The only draft pick the Nuggets have available to trade is their 2031 first rounder. That said, Clarkson for a 1st is probably fair value...I just don't think it makes a ton of sense for the Nuggets in their current situation. They need a 3 and D wing type of player, not another ball dominant PG who is a below average 3pt shooter.

I'd send back our lowest 2025 1st to make this balanced (w/ Denver sending their 2031 1st b/c that is what is legal).

I'm totally out if it is protected. The cost of waiting 7 years and taking on a terrible contract is the upside. If Denver wants to protect it I'd do the deal with some seconds coming from us instead of the first.

Fair. Anyway Denver doesn't need Clarkson, maybe we can cut Utah and try Nuggets - Chicago instead.
