Ware led the team in FGAs with 19! I bet he didn't even dribble 10 times. That play-finishing around the rim, in the paint, vertical spacing, and at the 3 pt line is so dynamic. Such a valuable release valve for the O.

Gotta surround him with ballhandlers and capable playmakers. Never want to run too much time in this modern NBA game with less than 3 reliable ballhandlers on the floor at a time IMO. That's part of why Bam and Jovic both work so well with him.

Exactly. The Butler era is over. Now we need to figure out what the next era looks like. Move on and move him asap. Let Bam, Herro, Ware, Jovic and Jamie lead the offense. We miss the playoffs so be it. But at least they get reps and the FO has clarity on what the new build should look like.

You won't know what the new build looks like until the big trade in 2025 (using the Rozier and/or Robinson expiring contracts) or free agency in 2026. The FO is looking for their new whale which Miami will have some assets to shape the roster quickly around that player.
