GS & chi (another try)

Post#1 » by fluffhead » Mon Jan 20, 2025 12:51 am

GS in: vuc white
Chi in: Payton looney waters Schroeder
25 first top 4 protected (probably end up between 10-20) unprotected in ‘26

Warriors get their stretch big and hopefully white could bring what Schroeder hasn’t.

Bulls get all expirings plus a pick this year which should convey. Plus all 4 of those guys could be rerouted to contenders.

Could be two separate trades to get it done

If the Bulls have an idea of how to spend that cap space during the Summer, this is a good move for them. Becomes a great move if you explain how they reroute any or all but Looney so easily because they have no use for the other 3 while GSW haven't done it.

I honestly don't see GSW giving up a pick and that impending cap space for Vuc not knowing how his 20/10 is going to translate and White is a year from being an UFA.

Warriors can't do a 4 for 2 deal. And most importantly, no one is going to give a lightly protected first that can turn into an unprotected first for vuc.

Not even close for the Warriors

Eh, pass for me. White's not perfect, but he is a 25-year-old averaging nearly 19 and 5. I'm not a fan of including him in this deal, especially since Vuc and White would presumably make the Warriors better and that draft pick less valuable than it is today.

I doubt GS could afford the White/Vuc combo on defense. Ayo/Vuc makes a lot more sense.
