Game 42: Kings (21-20) vs Wizards (6-34)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:12 am

Second half of the season is underway with an early start Sunday game. This is a game we should absolutely win.

Not a bad first quarter. Was going to mention up front that its probably the yearly Kyle Kuzma torches the Kings game.

The 1 thing I didn't like from that first is Doug switching to a zone...for no reason whatsever. Use the zone, but don't just change the D when it was working to begin with. Having said that, maybe he is looking to try it out (practise) with different line ups and feels the Wizards are the team to do it against.

I'd like to take a moment to express how big a fan of Bilal Coulibaly I am.

Wizards have a few nice pieces. Coulibaly, Sarr, Carrington, George. I like them. Vucevic is interesting too even though it will take him a long time to make it, if he ever does.

Good game. Some of the same seasonal issues, but still taking care of business

I aaid to someone earlier.

Under Mike brown this was a trap game. Awful wizards team, on 2nd night of back to back, kings well rested.

Under christie it's a star to finish where they never feel like they have to break a sweat.

Love to see it!

I feel like the Kings are in cruise control but still good enough to beat this Wizards team

That's a nice way to finish the quarter. They're having some fun out there tonight.

No need to risk Keon's ankle before this road trip. They need him healthy.

Deuce asked Keon how the vibes were in the Post Game interview and he said, "vibes are immaculate." We are back.

I loved the guys were out there having fun, but I would actually prefer a blowout and get the reserves out there. But hey, no complaints here. Last season, or maybe earlier in the season, that game was definitely a game the Kings could lose.

Loved hearing Keon and Christie after the game. Both were asked about Fox having an offnight. Keon was talking about how it wasn't a 30pt game but he was impacting in many other ways. Christie said it was one of his better games, he was doing everything else getting others involved.

Man with lyles and Carter healthy, Keon getting extended run. If we somehow turn Huerter into a Collins or cam johnson, dare I say we will be one of the deeper teams in the league.
