Celtics will have another short offseason this summer. They should get used to it.

Someone tell Joe it’s not illegal to expand his rotation even when full squad is healthy.

Last season we kept hearing about how they should make sacrifices for the good of the team.

Have not heard that this season.

You keep saying that but I don't see any empiric evidence
White - wants to be an all star but playing really bad the last month, even taking less shots
Jrue - what personal goal?
JB - want to be an all NBA but was asked to share the ball and trying to (upped his assissts #, still doesn't control the ball well and does stupid things)
JT - wants to be MVP and finals MVP - well, he needs to bring his A game every game and get to the finals
KP - wants to score and be healthy
Al - another ring?
etc.

I am sure there is something to what you say but I think fatigue, boredom, going through the motions are affecting the team more

Amir Coffey
Julian Champagnie
Javonte Green

All those 3 can boost the Cs out of lethargy.

I am all for getting one or two of these guys. My favorite is Julian Champagnie. Our bench is not good enough right now
If you are at it - get Walker Kessler from Utah for Queta/Kornet/Tillman (one or more) and a first. DA will get credit for helping the C's get another ring

3pt attempts went from 40 per game last season to 50 per game last December.

It has gone down this month.

Cs were playing too lose.
They were jacking up 3s at an alarming rate last month.

The main culprits are JB, KP, and White.

Those 3 were taking a lot of home run shots last month.

And notice how JB has gone back to dribble, dribble, dribble?

The Celtics played Game 5 of the Finals on June 17th. Media Day is September 24th. In between, three starters played in the Olympics. This has to be the shortest NBA offseason of all time.

Late postseason, Paris, early preseason. Will the oddly brief rest affect the team in 24-25? Or will it not matter?

The "short offseason" can never help the cause for sure. But I would put that reason way down the list as the cause for Boston's mediocrity/struggles. Of course, if physical or mental fatigue was indeed a factor, then play more than just 8-9 players. Perfect time to integrate young talents lacking in experience. At minimum young players provide a spark of energy and perhaps a different look than the stale same ole same ole.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Of course it will. Especially this team with coach Joe Thibodeau and his short rotations. Coach Joe Thibodeau rarely uses his bench players outside of Pritchard, Al, Hauser and Kornet. This was the season to kept our starters fresh and rely more of guys like Tillman and Springer or keeping L. Walker.

I said back in January (2 post above) that it will hurt our team especially with Coach Joe Thibodeau as our coach. Wasn't rocket science. Team was beat down and gassed due to a very short rotation and very short off season.
