6/32 from range i would be ok with if one of the best shooters of all time was 2/12. But instead we have Dinwiddie leading the pack with 0/6, Naji 1/6, PJ 1/5 and then Klay 1/2

That basically sums it all up what is wrong right now. If Mavs win a ring by some miracle i hope Kidd still gets fired 5 minutes after.

I thought PJ turned the game when he took the ball out of Kyrie's hand. Tired to do too much against his old team. He shot 5/15. but Overall, I agree. I said at the beginning of the season, Kidd is on the hot seat. He probably has this season and next, if we're being honest.

He has the finals to cover his ass and Luka's injury.... unfortunately by the time they figure out he sucks the tittle contending window will be closed...Just looking at the roster this team should be better, even with Luka out...you can't always coast thru regular season and turn it up in the playoffs...you need to be consistently in the top 4 standings(in conference) for others to take u seriously

I think they already know how bad is Kidd, it's too clear now.
But until Luka or Kyrie don't ask for his head he stays.

I hope Nico takes his responsibility and fire him right now but probably this is his last year unless we will win a ring.

I don't think so...even if the Mavs don't get in the playoffs he stays...because of last year and all the injuries(as an excuse) this season...end of game strugles to secure a rebound have started to haunt them yet again

2 PO miss in 4 years for a Doncic team is a huge shame. I don't think Kidd has more jolly cards left.
He used one 2 years ago.

The first miss he got the excuse because they traded for Kyrie, were still trying to get to know each other ,and had no depth....if they miss them this year it will be because of the injuries and bad luck... the team is stuck with him as long as Luka and Kai are happy ...btw they will get to the playoffs but second round is probably their ceilling

Yes Luka&Kai are his insurance... But who knows if they are really happy to play this kind of basketball and squeeze their body until last RS games every year because Kidd is an inept.

However playing with PJ and Naji together on the court kill the spacing.
Charlotte doubled Kyrie without problems at the end of the game because they are not a big treath for 3.
Add Maxi Kleber and you are done.

****trigger alert, questioning luka conditoning/injury history and leadership and saying the blame should start with him****

That falls on Luka mostly...remember they missed the playoffs when Kyrie got here and Luka was hurt as well. Luka is hurt again. Luka was hurt when Brunson was here as well in the playoffs. We just can't put this on Kidd. Starts with Luka imo. His conditioning and his leadership has always been in questioned.

Unfortunately a loss to CHA again gives me PTSD of 2 years ago. It's a legit wonder at this point (as it was then), should we consider throwing in the towel this season? Luka has been hurt all season and continuing to lose will only prompt him to return earlier and possibly mess with his career. Kyrie has a back problem and is playing through it but he's just not going to be at his best the rest of the season no matter how admirable it is.

There are legitimately 4 teams behind DAL right now and that can all make it to the playoffs (PHX, MIN, SAC, SAS). Even when Luka comes back, there's no guarantee we'll even get a playoff spot and the push may be for naught and risking unnecessary further injuries. Tanking the season, getting a lottery pick and coming back healthy next season needs to be considered imo. This just may not be the year folks.

We had 60 points in the paint and Charlotte had 44.

3 Point Shooting:
Mavs 6-32 (19%)
Hornets 17-39 (44%)

Turnovers:
Mavs 14
Hornets 13

Not only did we shoot bad but we also had more turnovers. Pathetic performance!

Maybe Charlotte has elite defense and nobody knew...lol

Happy Birthday!

Such a pathetic performance by the team. I am currently at American Airlines Arena for work, so not winning this is even more disappointing. Ugh!

On to the next.........

I agree. Every time we lose to the Hornets in a season leads to tanking by default. At least we have time to tank properly, not like last time.

Looking at the box score, Klay = Josh Green + Seth

So pathetic.

When would the Klay experiment end?

A winless week is incoming. And we will be ready for full tanking by the end of this week.

It's really sad, but it is meant to happen.

I was told by American Airlines upper managment that Luka will return next week.

I am working at the arena from 2am this morning (Friday) until 3am (Tuesday).

Has their been any actual reports of this online?
