Why would Chicago want Butler?

Bulls are fighting for their lives to make play in. 3-7 last 10 games. Roll the dice on Butler jumpstarting the team and rejuvenating his career where it all began.

In crunch time, Ant refuses to play through a PG (not Conley and certainly not Dillingham). I’m actually even surprised Mike has nine shots in the 28 crunch time games the Wolves have played.

It would help if Conley makes open threes, but I assume that it is difficult to find a rhythm for veteran coming of the bench. Also I have noticed some inconsistent foot work from Conley, so many are concerned about his wrist injury, however I wonder if he has no legs to run and shoot.

Seriously, as far as circle peg in circle hole, I don't think we can get better than a Chicago offer of those two. Also worth pointing out, with NAW's shooting inconsistencies and Donte's injury, a guard like Lonzo might be more important than it was weeks ago.

Duren without a doubt has a higher trade value, in my opinion. I think that trade would require the DET 1st at minimum, and I'm still not sure that it gets it done.

I'd prefer Duren - if the plan is to move on from Rudy after the season. If we're going to wring every bit we can out of Gobert, then Smith makes more sense.

There are so many Jalens these days, but the boom only started in the last 25 years.

Jalen Rose’s mom created the name, naming her son Jalen by combining the names James (father) and Leonard (uncle). Jalen Rose’s national popularity in college and the pro’s brought the name to prominence, and 20 years later, we have a batch (17) of Jalens in the NBA.

Brunson, Suggs, Green, Johnson, Williams .. you could make a pretty good team.

I guess I was thinking they would be about equal in value since Smith has an additional year on his contract ($9/$9.5) and Duren is about to get expensive after next year ($6.5/FA $$)?

They aren’t our picks specifically. Worst of means this year will be Cavs, and who knows whose the other two will be. Plus at least one is going to be used to move Beal and we cannot acquire Beal. We have no outing salary to match without aggregating. The real question is whether Beal is headed to the Bucks? If yes, then they might get 2 and Miami the 3rd for moving Butler. If we are involved with those teams who on the Heat or Bucks would we want to take back, and where does Randle end?

Lonzo Ball update time:

Lonzo missed two of the last 4 games. I found out one was rest because they don’t play him in back to backs, and the other was a quad contusion.

Also in the 3 games since his turn the corner offensive clinic, Lonzo is shooting 8 of 25 from the field and 6 of 22 from deep. That means he is 2 of 3 from 2 for a respectable 66.6%. From deep he is 27.27%. To his credit Lonzo usually has a positive plus minus. To his detriment the Bulls have lost 3 of the last 4 he has played, and with offense like that, can you blame them?
