based on a note from Stein/Fischer that Dallas has interest in Javonte Green. Could just pay the 25 PHI/DEN 2nd and be done with it, but I think that's too much so getting cute and bring in the Mavs' trading bff's the Wizards
Pels get: Morris(Waived immediately) and the 3rd best 2nd of DEN/PHI/PHX/GSW/DET (right now GSW at 42)
Mavs get: Green/4th best of above 2nds (currently Detroit at 45)
Wizards get the best (and keep the 2nd best) of those picks and $2M cash from Dallas
So essentially the Wizards take their worst two 2nds this year and trade it for the 25 PHI 2nd and get cash. So its essentially move one 2nd up and get cash for the other.
Pels get a decent 2nd for an expiring 31 year old min contract guy.
Dallas gets a guy they have rumored interest in while still staying in the 2nd round.
Too cute?

If I follow, I think it sounds logical. There is still a max teams can take/send in terms of cash considerations? (used to be 3M). Dallas hasn't already dipped into it?

There is a limit. I think its a bit over $7M. Not sure but I am pretty confident Dallas still has at least $2M to trade. Less sure on Washington's ability to take more, but I'm guessing its fine.
IF anyone has a good source that tracks that, that would be cool to have.

sweet link. Thanks mate.
Maybe just cash? IDK. Fine (and much simpler than this nonsense) if true.

ngl my eyes glazed over when I saw "3rd best 2nd of DEN/PHI/PHX/GSW/DET"
I think this is a smart enough move, and the sort of thing that would probably happen. I don't have a good read on Javonte Green's value though.
