I also think they need to change the national championship next year and move it off the Monday after NFL divisionals...this game needs to be a week earlier IMO

No but he probably would've been on hot seat next year.

That is NOT the narrative. The Narrative is 2 Conference win. Non Conference have no shot. 2 Conference Dominance. Non Conference no future. 2 Conference Bigger Monies. Non Conference broke, unable to compete.
1st year anomaly. From here on out, if you are not a part of the 2 Conference system, you may be in the playoffs, but you are essentially playing to keep the kids happy to participate in a bowl game.
Think this, we were a stones throw away from Penn State v Ohio State. Or Texas v Georgia game

They need to fix unbalanced schedules but not sure how they can actually do it. The only way is to kick out Maryland, Rutgers & Northwestern but that will obviously never happen because they like cream puffs to beat up on. And yes, before anyone says anything, I know Arizona is a cream puff also but we're not in a major conference.

The system the way it is though...it's pretty good. 12 team PO solved the huge issue we had. My hope is getting rid of conferences in 20 years

I think soon we'll have two conferences for power 4 teams. Schedules can be balanced out a bit by putting more strict requirements for the out of conference games but much of scheduling will still come down to luck. If you had Florida St scheduled this year, you probably thought you'd be playing a very good team not the dumpster fire they were. Indiana got flak for playing a weak schedule, but they had Michigan and Washington who are normally solid teams. Much of it is cyclical.

They are saying to move the National Championship game to Jan 1st at the Rose Bowl...I would like for them to start the college season August 1st and wrap everything up by 1/1

I am ok with it but I am not sure most colleges start the semester that early. That would hurt their gameday income.

They can start one week early and instead of one month break they could have 2 week break after the conference title games.

See, this is the same problem & trick that teams fall for when it comes to drafting these types of guys. They rarely work out.

Fwiw Jalen Hurts was far more advanced as a passer than Milroe currently is.

Look at this. He may go top 10
