You rebuild around Flagg, Matas and keep Ayo, Coby and Smith. You trade everyone else to rebuild on Flagg's timeline. Maybe keep some helpful vets. But you refocus the team on the future.

Coby isn't someone you keep.

You can always trade him later. Not saying he is locked into a rebuild. Just saying he isn't a guy you dump 'just because'

Giddey’s inconsistency is so frustrating. I still have no idea what we really have in him. The guy that showed up tonight is a key building block. The guy last night was a total bum.

This was how I put it in the General Board GT regarding Giddey,

eh, he is fine. nothing to write home about but not as bad as folks say.

He was dogsh#% in the Portland game but has 18/9/8 tonight.

His rebounding is actually super helpful since Patrick Williams isn't able to rebound to save his life and he is our starting PF.

The passing is really helpful for Vucevic as well. Who has had a great season so far.

His layups are ugly but usually aren't an issue since he is long enough against most coverage.

I would pay him 15 of the 30 mil a year he wanted.

When you have Lavine, Coby, Ayo, and Giddey as all primary ballhandlers and then the coach also throws in 20 minutes of THT + Terry as guards and we still run Vuc as the "point center" (he had 7 assists that POR game), I'm not surprised the youngest & newest guy is confused on his role. With our two other PGs out, it was a lot clearer for Giddey to run the point and TBH it looked a lot clearer to the entire team as well.

Not surprised. All year they’ve won unexpected road games. Especially this one where a bunch of these guys were motivated and played harder since it was in LA.

If this Zach shows up every single night, where he hits shots all game long then Bulls would have a chance in every game. Also getting to the line consistently like he did tonight would help him out a lot.

Also good games from Lonzo, Giddey, and THT.

Lavine has had a really good, long tenure with the Bulls. Highly underappreciated by the fan base and around the league.

Coby not being on the court helps massively.

Good game tonight, everyone played fine (at least)

I think we can keep Giddy or Coby, but as a bench player. Both of them hurt, do to their weak D

Coby to Orl for Harris (expiring)/Howard/Den 1st?

So predictable Bulls. When you think they are a sure thing to possibly lose 10 straight, they win when you least expect.

Yup, as pointed out in the other thread about best Bulls since the title run. If he finishes this season here, he will pass Deng and Sloan for 4th all time on the Bulls scoring list, only behind MJ, Pippen and Love. He is 14 points away from the 10,000 mark (and 300 points away from 4th place. That is like 14 games at current pace.)

He's only 57 assists away from jumping over Kukoc for #10 on the all time assists leader board.

He is already 1st in threes made and threes attempted.

In about 2 games he will pass Chet Walker for 6th in career FG's made

If he stays here this season he will jump Jimmy Buckets for 9th place all time for FT made and FT's attempted. He is actually only 36 made FT's behind Buckets and will probably pass Deng for 8th place (105 behind Deng).

This. Coby breaks the offense. It's why he should be a 6th man.

Why can't this team win at home?

As long as Coby and Williams are getting starter minutes, and Donovan is head coach, the Bulls will never make progress.

Giddey likes to get downhill in transition or against smaller defenders.

The Blazers took away our transition offense. We only had 6 fastbreak points against them. The Blazers also had a lot of size out there, Scoot was the only player under 6'5 for them. Add in some switching on defense and Giddey likely never felt comfortable attacking the Blazers' defense. He tried to drive against Avdija once and lost the ball.

The Clippers didn't have a center on the court for most of the game and their bad offense fed into our transition game.

To me the Clippers played enough like the Bulls t lose just like the Bulls. Opposite of the Blazers who didn't get caught up in people trying to do too much given their shot to play

Mo Bamba 10 points in 15 minutes, mostly in early minutes against Vuc, why wouldn't you play him more knowing the Vuc is a poor defender? Hardin 17 points while DJJ and Mann 12 each this was where you try to ride your superstar.

A lot of people in the past 3-4 years have wanted Nicolas Batum, 17 minutes, Zero points and 5 fouls, those are numbers for your backup hack center trying to muck up the game for the other team's star center.

This is the game tracker to show people who keep wanting to send more guards to the Bulls. 2 of their 1st 5 guards out and they didn't have to extend anybody over their average just by using THT a little more.

This is why I want to hang onto THT, he's a bit of a bulldozer at times which at times is just what is needed. You don't want more than one guy like that but the Bulls haven't had anybody like that since Nocioni maybe. He's worth more to the Bulls than a small throw in contract in a trade just like Lonzo has proven to be more than a $21M expiring sheet of paper.

Trade Coby for Robert Williams and try to get the pick terms updates.

What's even more frustrating is that they wouldn't even be "developmental" minutes. Buzelis is the only positive PF (+0.2), Phillips is a -1.0, Terry is a -3, Craig is a -3, Patrick is -5.6. He's also shooting the 3 (33%) at mostly the same rate at those guys. Even Patrick is only 3% ahead, which is nothing given Pat's low volume.
