Re: The Positivity Thread
We been close in most games, Randle is playing more "integrated", Dilly is filling in meaningful minutes. The next 10 games are very winnable. Hopefully we put a 7-3 run together before we get OKC 3 times with Cavs and Bucks

Right now, the best thing that could happen to us is finishing seventh, so we can face Houston and Memphis in the first and second rounds. We're on the right track.

I been critical about a lot of stuff but this is the positivity thread. What do you suggest besides blowing it up? I am trying to look for the silver lining with a 22-21 club. Do you know how many times had we been above 22-21 in franchise history? If you laugh at that here than you shouldn't follow the Wolves.

I do what I do because I don't see positivity. End of. Unfortunately, to see fellow posters fool themselves into believing a corner can be turned gives me more joy than this team.
And it wasn't always like this. I supported this team since its inception. And, for me, last year equaled that of Garnett's trip to the WCF. It was a thank you for lasting through those down years. And how does this organization repay us... by trading the second best player on the team... for Randle... because of finances. (Note I know DDV and a Detroit first round pick was included).

The franchise has six seasons winning less than 20 games for the entire season. But this is the worst it's ever been in your eyes? There are no NBA level players on this team? The team would be better off folded?
Those are the definition of no positivity.

None of those things were said by Baseline to be fair...
I usually enjoy your posts Klomp, but you do love a strawman today...

He said NO positivity. Not Anthony Edwards. Not Naz Reid. Not Rob Dillingham. Nothing.

Again, you're taking things to extremes to make a point, it's strawman arguments at best
He said he doesn't see it, not that there isn't any (if you want to get pedantic)

Klomp is trying to get back at me for one of his earlier posts in the game thread where he compared the Wolves record to Dallas' -- only several, including myself rightly called him out on it.
And yes, he's loving a strawman today.

I don't like the trade either but it's a done deal. If you don't see positivity than don't read the positivity thread. We are all fools by definition for following any team. There is only one winner out of 30 every year. All other teams are losers at different levels. All you have is hope of different degree. Whatever team you believe in, I will tell you that you are fooling yourself in thinking they will win the championship

If you think I'm 'trying to get back at' anyone you're foolish. I rarely look at who posts beyond generally seeing that I am agreeing and disagreeing with the same people. But that has to do more with noticing how different people view the game of basketball than anything. I have no running list, I have no time for that.

Not if you live in USA and doesn't agree with certain political party. You will get prosecuted worse than in China.

More seriously, i know this is bad, but i am very near having hope we lose against Dallas without Luka and slide out of the play-in. May be the shock FO need to realize we go nowhere how they build the roster after KAT trade.

WE DON’T OWN THE PICK! This is only good for Utah. You might also be a Jazz fan, but most of us are not. We very badly want the Wolves to pull their heads out their ***es and win ball games. In a season like this every win matters. A good Randle trade, and maybe a free agent signing in the aftermath of waivers and buyouts (under the 12 million we are allowed,) and who knows, maybe we get to 6 or 7. I will say this, in a seven game series I think we CAN (not necessarily will,) beat Memphis or Houston. I don’t want to be in the 1, 4, 5, 8 bracket of the playoffs. If we can beat Memphis in round 1 and Houston in round 2, only then would I want us to face either OKC or a healthy Dallas.

Was probably not clear enough. Yes i'm a Jazz fan but they are 5-7 years away to being maybe good, so i don't think our pick will change their fate. And i'm a Mike fan and really wanna see him in a final before he retire. My point was that sometimes as a manager, you need big shock to realize what's wrong with your business. This roster is totally messy right now. Randle not fitting at all with the rest of the team identity, as a result Rudy play get 2 good games for 1 awful, Mike get one good game for 2 awful, ANT believe he is Zorro.... rebounding, spacing..... all is going down..... and ITW after ITW, game after game, Finch seems to be blind..... of course we cant afford to miss the PO considering how much money this team cost. IF we slide under 50%, it may force front office to make some moves, hopefully better than the KAT-RANDLE one....

Three weeks is Feb. 14.
Last game before all-star break is Feb. 13, first game after the break is Feb. 21.
