It feels good knowing we have the 4/5 figured out for the next 5 years, + SG. Ware is an impactful player and he's not even scratching the surface of what he can be.

Looks like starting them together then taking one out early to stagger them is the plan at center with Bam and Ware.

Makes sense. Starting Ware means we don't have a backup 5. Given we're playing Niko 25-30 minutes a night, the stagger works.

Allowing POR to score 34 in the first quarter.

Clearly missing Tyler's defense.

96 minutes of Bam-Ware-Jovic frontcourt rotation is the future. Trending to be the present too.

Instead of a "backup 5" we have a guy that has been one of the top 3 centers in the NBA for a decent chunk of his starting career (not this season lol) rotating at center. Not bad.

POR is hot right now (so is Miami). Allowing them too many FGA between turnovers and second chance looks tho.

My biggest reservation with Ware wasn't his ability. It was Spo's willingness to break his mould and play two bigs together for extended stretches. I was concerned about us drafting a player in the first round with no positional flexibility when we have been so wedded to Bam as a 5 and an undersized 4 for the past 4 years.

I'm very happy to see Spo relent and start this push. It will absolutely unlock Duncan and Herro, ease the burden on Bam and allow him to roam and cause defensive disruption, and allow us to perhaps even experiment with a frontcourt of Niko/Bam/Ware longer term. Excited for the rest of the season.

Nice catch and finish by Bam

Combination of skillsets fitting Spo's schemes in the pace and space NBA is the name of the game. Ware can move and shoot.
