Because everyone who missed tonight's game - Franz, Suggs, Goga, Harris, Cole, Isaac and Jett - will all be available within the next week.

Theoretically of course.

Matt Lloyd left in 2022... Pete D'Alessandro filled his role....

I still like AB though. Jett.. we were sold that he was injured in college...

11 points from the bench ... pretty much half our points from Paolo and KCP

Got to be one of the lowest scoring offenses in the league
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

No. His skillset relative to his position and the rest of the roster. The context of being a #6 pick and requiring him to step up in difficult situations.

AB homers remind me of the guys who beat their chests everytime Hezonja dribbled the ball without bouncing it off of his foot

Sorry guys. There’s expectations with being a top pick. Not saying AB is a bust (yet) but he needs to show more. You can only point to “flashes” within games (as opposed to a stretch of games) for so long.

Or those Elfrid Payton fanboys.

His last 5 games against some of the best teams in the league he averaged 14/4/4 in like 25 minutes iirc.... Not too bad for me personally ,guess you're out on him

“Out” as in .. I have a difficult time buying he’s a starter especially on this roster and with who they will pay.

Hes a good backup off the bench until he can prove he can prove otherwise.

Don't be pedantic. You know he means the top end of the draft.

Never traded a player on a rookie deal, always re-ups injured players, never traded a first (I think), punts on seconds routinely, never a buyer in trades, has whiffed on every pick outside of the top 10 (hopefully TdS changes this trend), consistently ignores shooting

Of course AB was a a top pick. It could be a long time before we get pick as high as 6 again.

Hell it could be a long time before we get 11 again.

Probably going to be a really long time before we get both 6 and 11 again

No, because that would mean Weltman has to do his job.

Even if he doesn’t want to do anything drastic, put a big man on 2 way, call up some shooters for a 10 day contract to help until we get some of the guys back. How are they going to look at this team, as injured and sick as they are and run them through the ground like this? Paolo is still coming back from his injury, on a minutes restriction and has to play more than necessary because no one can shoot. What type of sicko would let this team go through all of this when you have a 2 way and 10 days at your disposal? Even if you lose, you can still have bodies so that some of these players can rest throughout the game.

Team morale must be at a season low for the guys right now. Done pretty well to delay it this long all things considered. Mosley really gonna have to work some magic to inspire the guys out of this.

But he should also speak up about not having enough bodies to field a proper team. 1 C, 1 PF and a backup forward who was sick and couldn’t last the game.

When you’re forced to run Houstan at C to close the game then you know the FO has been complacent. Hell, when you’re forced to field Houstan at all you know you’re out of legit NBA players.

we'll be ok... that is correct but with Moe out for the rest of the year, WCJ's regression, JI's regression, Cole's regression, and KCP's shooting regression, we certainly will not be a leveling up this season. This team desperately needs more offense. The defense will be fine once Goga, Franz, and Suggs get back. I'll give you that. But the offense... man... something needs to give.

The supporting cast of this team is really just pathetic outside of Moe, AB (sometimes), and a rookie in TDS. Truly. Suggs/Franz/Paolo/Goga are really the only players that matter moving forward.

They have done absolutely nothing outside of the draft to build around those guys. It doesn’t take 3 seasons to move players. And no, KCP isn’t part of that equation.

I think some regression can be pointed to roles being massively changed - if we have to rely less on some guys, that's a good thing. We also need some offensive juice somewhere outside of our main guys even when healthy.

DeVos family should do everyone a favor and sell the team. Take their $2.5 - $3 BILLION dollars and kick rocks. Give us an owner that really wants to win and that doesn’t want to site around and “evaluate “ the roster every season.

Return to Orlando Magic
