From the tape I've seen, he makes most of his passes to Dylan when he can't get a bucket and if Dylan isn't there you get this game or the one where he dropped 39 taking all the shots.

True. It could be the case that he doesn't trust neither the coach nor his teammates.

This was him taking a turnaround one-legged fadeaway shot being contested by two guys from the front and the side while there were 23 seconds left on the shotclock :D He actually made this shot. To me it was both the dumbest and the most impressive shot making highlight of his. Maybe he's just another Dirk/KD/Curry and what we think are "bad shots" are actually good? We'll see.

Thing is hes hitting these kind of shots on a regular basis.....I could see the hate on him taking these kind of shots if he was bricking the majority of them....But he actually makes tough contested shots where you say "How in the world did he hit that" on a regular basis....Seems like he just has that shot making ability gene....Kinda like Kobe when Kobe would hit insane shots....Can't really teach that and not many players possess that....But Ace is one of them which is why so many scouts and Gms love him.

Updated Mock Draft:

1. Flagg
2. Bailey
3. Harper
4. Edgecombe
5. Maluach
6. Kasparas
7. Traore
8. Johnson
(Talent gap)
9. Newell
10. Fears

I'm pretty firm on the top 8. I think those 8 are locked in. In other words, I believe each one of those 8 guys can be a starting calibre player in the NBA. The names that come after the first 8 are closer to possessing role player potential than starter potential at the given moment.

HENCE, IT'S VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT FOR US TO FINISH IN THE BOTTOM 4 OF THE STANDINGS (because the lowest we could drop is #8).

Watching that workout Harper + Bailey had with Giannis, you can just see Giannis fishing for that aggressiveness/assertiveness from both of them. I get the impression Harper will play less cool in the NBA, but Bailey has to mature enough to realize how great he can be if he cared less about how he looked to nobodies. He's so skilled and so smooth, but I want to see him try to take guys heads off every chance he gets. That's how he goes from being good to great.

Whoever drafts him would be smart to sign a no nonsense vet to coach him up. Looking at the free agent list it's pretty slim pickins, but I'd lean towards a guy like Eric Gordon who I'd try to bring in to teach more than anything else. He was very good in his prime, he knew how to get buckets, he'd show Ace exactly how to succeed at the 2/3 spot.

I’d love to get another mid to early late 1st to draft Rasheer Fleming (personally like him more than CMB). He reminds me a lot of Eason and would help fill the hole (pause) OG left in the lineup.

I've made my points on Ace Bailey. Yes he's a shot maker and when he's on he's on. Yet there are still red flags with him from a decision making perspective and overall feel for the game. I see him as a very good off ball threat who can defend his man but will struggle to create off the dribble and be a good team defender. Again things could change, he's played better in his last few games.

Rasheer looks quick and I'd think his shuttle run would be guard like.

It's a double-edged sword. When he gets to the NBA, the coach needs to get him to 1) take good shots only, 2) only allow him to do his thing in the last 6 seconds of the shot clock

It's very useful to have a guy that can "bail" us out when we have zero offense going. That should be Bailey's role, along with being an off-ball scorer. If he isn't properly used or coached, things could get ugly if he's having difficulty with the defensive coverage or just having an off-game (e.g. 3-16 game)

We need more than just 2-way, we need ball creation.

We rank 20th on offense, and 27th on defense, a 3&D won't solve our problem.

I definitely wasn't arguing for taking a 3&D with the top pick. Those are just a small subset of two-way players, who can be at any level of the game.

But I would like someone who is good at both ends. Just taking those numbers, even if we got a Trae Young type creator, sure it might improve the 20th ranked offence, but it wouldn't do anything for the 27th ranked defence, and that's just not a recipe for a serious winning team.

What I mean is, we should stop building around our core, whoever can create and being the BPA, we should take him.

Ok, sure. We're talking about different things then. I would obviously like the BPA as well, I would just prefer that that player be a two-way guy. That has nothing to do with fitting around the core. Just the kind of player I think leads to long term consistent winning.

We just need to secure top 4 and we’re blessed damn. It ain’t just Flagg. One of Flagg Harper Jak or Bailey changes this team tremendously

My next tier would be 5 and 6: VJ, and Tre. After 6 I’d be upset

His handle is so clean. The way he uses his in&out cross is nasty work. The way he can split the double team is elite, and something we've "never had" IMO.

Is it feasible for Cooper to pass Davis or maybe even Zions freshman BPM?

Brant Byers' BPM overall is only 1.9 but I guess he's been hot.

Flory Bidunga played in the Nike Hoops Summit for team World. Is he like Adem Bona?

Flagg, Bailey, Harper or bust.

Is VJ really 6 5" ? Every time I see him on the court, he looks smaller compared to other guards and wings.

Michael Porter Jr?
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Not related to this draft but Ware passed my eye test and is already looking great. Was hoping he would fall to us
