Lol I always end up rewatching it around this time of year. Just watched the Farmer Zach episode and now it's time for the song to be stuck in my head for 3 weeks.

farmer zach might be the best jingle ever made

I'm pretty much obsessed with anything that has Sam Richardson or Tim Robinson in it. Obviously I think you should leave is brilliant. Rewatched all three seasons this past week. Sam Richardson's character on Veep was probably my favorite character on that show which is saying a lot cuz that's probably in my top 5 all time comedies.

yb Not sure if you ever listen to the band the main squeeze, but they do some pretty cool covers. Guitarist, max, is ridiculous. They just dropped this cover of all along the watchtower, Which of course, he shreds. Looks like they're coming to Charlotte in March if you're interested.

Nope, haven't heard of them but will check them out. Thanks for the heads up.

I just bought String Cheese Incident tickets for May, they're playing at that Ballantyne Amphitheater thing with Wood Brothers.

That's pretty cool, and only 3 minutes from my house lol. Have you seen anyone there yet at the ballantyne Ampitheatre? It looks pretty cool.. But its small. I havent seen any bands there. only Walked around the area when it's empty.

Nope, never been, but Wilco is playing their two days before SCI so I might be going twice that weekend.

Is it bigger than the Fillmore? Cause I'd love for bands to start going there so I don't have to go to the Fillmore.

Eggy is going to Visulite in April, you should go to that.

I had no idea they were getting bands as big as Wilco to play there these days. I mean it's only been open since maybe last summer I guess. Info online says it has a capacity of 3500. I think it's probably smaller than the Fillmore outdoor in uptown.

um...
dell curry?
He got Steph Curry and Seth Curry two NBA players one of which is a top 10 player of all time. The daughter played collegiate volleyball and is married to an NBA player, damion lee.
Also both Steph and Seth are scratch golfers. Steph could probably play at a halfway decent pro level if he chose that as his career.
The icing on the cake is everyone in that family, by all accounts, is about as awesome of a human being as you can possibly imagine.
So for looking at GOAT Dad's in the sports world, then look no further than our very own Dell.

Anybody care about the Oscars? Nominations came out yesterday. This marks year 4 of the wife and I attempting the "death race"(only learned it was a thing at the end of year 2). A Different Man I thought was really great, but I have an obvious physical disability so I wonder how much that altered it's relatability for me. A Real Pain was easy to watch. Emilia Perez was not. Looking forward to having an excuse to rewatch Alien: Romulus.

Walt, are you on letterboxd?
I try to watch a ton of movies. I keep track of everything I watch on that app in the diary give everything a grade. I don't normally try to do the Oscars stuff though. Last 3 years I've watched on average about 250 movies a year.

I've got a spreadsheet for all my favorite movies that I watched from 2024. It was a weird year where I didn't just absolutely love anything but there were a lot of really solid movies. Saw quite a few random smaller indie movies that were pretty good this year as well. I rarely give anything higher than four stars. And this year nothing got higher than four stars but I had quite a few that were either three and a half or four stars.

I'll post the screenshot of my rankings when I get on my laptop later. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure substance and Anora were probably my two favorite movies.

I use the app Letterboxd To keep track of all the movies I watch. I started doing this about three years ago because people were always asking for movie recommendations and I could never remember. So I started keeping track of everything I watched, the day that I watched them and then I would give them a rating. And then I can also follow other people who have similar taste in movies and get ideas of other stuff that I might like. So mostly I have a friend that we're both on Letterboxd and keep track of all our movies. End of the year I just went back through the app and kind of looked at everything that I had given three and a half stars or better and put it in a spreadsheet so that I could rank it and send it back to him. he did the same and then we could lol at each other's movie rankings. long time members of this board know I'm obsessed with ranking stuff lol.
