Game 43: Kings (22-20) @ Warriors (21-21)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Thu Jan 23, 2025 3:09 am

We head down the street to the bay to get this road trip started against a banged up Warriors team. Steph is still playing though and is always a threat to do Steph things so let's just take care of business before the second night of a B2B in Denver tomorrow night.

Need to come out with an entire different energy in the second half because we are getting clowned right now. 14/26 from deep for GS and just doing nothing going right now. Monk had a breakaway dunk which would have made it a 6 point game with 4 minutes left in the half and blew it trying a reverse pump. Completely flipped the momentum and we end the half down by 17...

Very disappointing first half. Lack of urgency and playing uninspired.

After all the talks of “needing to step on their throats” the Kings had done the opposite.

Let’s see if they can respond and adjust in the second half.

I’d deal Fox…

Just not an off ball player and back to sub optional efficiency/effort

This game is wide open.

It’s anyone’s ball game.

New game going into the fourth with momentum going our way. Tighten up and close this out.

If we win tonight, it will be in spite of Fox and Monk. Both have looked awful.

Monk has contributed

I’m ready to see Monk/Keon starting in the backcourt, regardless of the Fox return. In addition to the inherent inconsistency Fox is not a SG or complimentary to Monk as a ball handler, Keon is ready

Monk is a team worst -16 and has made multiple momentum depleting decisions. I just don't understand why you think Monk (who is less efficient than Fox btw) in place of Fox makes us a better team at all. Truly baffling.

Respect to Moody for trying a full on windmill kick to get that foul call.

Keegan Murray needs a lot of love for his game tonight. He and Keon were simply great on the defensive end and the rest of the team were...ordinary.

Offensively it was also ordinary despite Deebo going off in the 3rd and Fox/Monk closing it out after indifferent games from both.

Good game… Christie has really surprised me

We will see in a couple months if it’s new coach enthusiasm or he’s here to stay as a coach

Dude's finger is absolutely killing him and he still made every clutch freethrow. Teams are simply lucky his shooting hand is compromised right now

Every season there is something… just like last season it was the shoulder etc

Good players are still effective through injury
