Springer can play. Most of these guys on the bench can. Just need real opportunities and reps.

This not the first time something like this happened.

Remember last season the Cs lost to the Lakers, at the Garden, when Lebron and AD were out?

Cs definitely lose this one if not for Springer.

25 pts, 57% shooting, 3 steals and 6 assists.

Worst game of the season and he still does that.

True.

Joe should also get some credit for making the right call.

Joe could have gone with PP or Sam in the 4th and OT.

There are multiple teams in the NBA right now capable of demolishing us in a PO series.

Seriously, there are GMs dumb enough to give us a great package for that total moron JB.
DO IT!

He has very very real skills.
He just cannot dribble, cannot make clutch FTs, & is a TOV MACHINE WITH THE IQ OF A RABID SQUIRREL.

Springer and that's it
Joe need to play him some more

This team is so frustrating when leading with about 2-3 minutes left. They stop playing and invite the other team to attack. Just play the game the right way and be surprised when the game ends
Too many mind boggling plays down the stretch it is amazing. And we have guys with ton of experience. Just awful

That's because the Jays are multi-talented.

I think Walsh played well too. Trying to remember other standouts but it fails me. Rico played early so there is that.

He was playing very well until the last 5 minutes. It was so bad it wiped it all away.

There definitely are matchups that we struggle with that could use a defensive guard like Jaden.

Would love to see him against those OKC guards and throw him against Maxey for a few possessions or Bane too…

If he could knock down threes consistently Dort could be a good player to pattern his game after.

No one on this entire message board will agree with this more than me. Not saying to play everyone. But going outside of our top 8-9 would help both short term and long term so much.

Just relieved we won consecutive games again. Winning Ugly still beats losing playing great/attractive Hoops.

Walsh hit his only shot, a 3, didn't let anyone score on him IIRC. But Joe just doesn't give him a chance. Good thing Springer stepped up Big.

I know Joe loves to experiment, but the out of timeout inbound pass to the side of the court will not work when the opposing team immediately doubles the receiver.

JT made a game winner from a play like that in the Brad Stevens era.

That sentiment is correct.

The problem is there's politics involved when it comes to player rotation.

Since the Cs have so much talent, playing 10-men or more will affect the individual stats of the top players.

Joe wants to keep his job and only way to do that is to make the star players happy.

Maybe in high school or college you can treat all players equally, but that is not possible in the NBA.

You really think JT will average 28 ppg if Joe plays 10 men?

Took coach Joe only 44 games to finally give Springer a chance to play. I've been calling for Springer to play all season, even if it's 5-10 minutes a game, to bring in that energy and defensive preference. Especially when this team takes a lot of nights off on the defensive end for some reason.

We all saw what happened as soon as Springer entered the game. We went to work on the defensive end. Had 4 steals in his first 10 minutes. He was locking down anyone he guarded. That intensity was contagious and his teammates started to also give some effort on the defensive end.

Just hope Joe continues for play Springer going forward, even if it's only about 6 minutes a half, to get some defense and energy inserted into the team that tends to get lazy at times on both ends of the floor.
