Val to OKC
Ousmane Dieng for Jonas Valanciunas
The other Val thread had me thinking about this. Val is purely a center so definitely not exactly what OKC needs, but maybe this is something anyway? Can definitely help with rebounding and just size.
For the Wizards, they cut some salary and get a tank commander who still has some raw talent.

Re: Val to OKC
If this is the best we can do with dieng salary , should we do it ?
I’m indifferent either way, so leaving it up to Washington to decide. They probably hoping for some value elsewhere , best I can do is a second rounder pick swap which probably fall short.
Edit - for the Washington guys considering if there’s any value in Dieng , there might be … but I still believe that there’s a rotational player somewhere in Poku so please don’t take my words for anything.

Thats fair if they see nothing in Dieng. I still think there is something there.

i would comfortably offer the Wizards Micic and 2 2nds and we're not even competing this season. i just want a sure thing at backup C for next season
investigate Adam Silver

I think adding Dieng into the pool of switchable defenders the Wiz have is a lot of fun but I suspect that they would rather have a pick and more cheap years as the core comes together.

I can see 2 seconds being the best on the table. Not a lot of contenders have seconds to spare nor salary matching .

Re: Val to OKC
The Wizards should definitely do this. For OKC, JV isn't on an expiring deal so they have that to consider.

I’d prefer to keep Val. Any interest in Bagley or Richaun Holmes?
Holmes is basically an expiring as well.

OKC has a billion 2nds to use if htey had to dump his $10M for next year this summer. I don't see that as any kind of concern for them if they value him as a cheap center depth piece.

Also more salary ballast for a bigger deal.

Is Dieng is an actual NBA player? He might be in China in a couple of seasons so why trade a good player for him.

Re: Val to OKC
val would be unplayable defensively with how the thunder operate. i'd only do this trade if chet is going to be out for the season.

Re: Val to OKC
Marvin Bagley would honestly be a better target, and that's not a sentence I wanna write too often
Cheers
