GSW/CHI

Post#1 » by StaticRoar » Thu Jan 23, 2025 5:29 pm

GSW get:
Coby White
Nikola Vucevic

CHI get:
Jonathan Kuminga
Moses Moody
Dennis Schroder
Kyle Anderson

Why for GSW?
Get some shooters and other scoring options.

Why for CHI?
Get perhaps the highest ceiling player in the trade with a 22 year old Kuminga.

For good or bad, they’re not trading Kuminga. Doubt Chicago does the deal without him and maybe not with him as I’m not sure they want to pay him.

I expect the inevitable Loon/GP2 expirings plus Hield and seconds for Vucevic and whatever filler (Duarte, THT, Craig).

White is interesting though. Think the Warriors would be interested and his deal matches Schroeder’s. Think the Bulls asking price might be too high though

I would probably do this, but I'm less high on JK than most W's fans, and definitely than the W's front office.

I'm actually fine with this for Golden State. I don;t think it'll bring us a title or anything, but it'll shake things up to see if this would shorten our rotation a bit, and give us that much needed big man with some skill. Happy to give it a whirl.

The Bulls step into paying Kuminga for his ceiling whether the foundation is proven solid or not. Looks like a decent gamble but some players look good playing next to great players, that doesn't mean they become great with average players around them.

Moody and White can both shoot and score, White is a capable PG Moody only a SG. Do the Bulls still have Zach Lavine, that puts Moody behind him for short minutes. Yeah Schroder is expiring but Anderson has another year. Right now they're better than Dosunmu, Phillips and Buzelis maybe Giddey but those guys have a future with the Bulls the two veterans do not.

with no draft picks for taking on two veteran salaries, gotta pass

Thanks for participating in this GSW/CHI trade proposal in honor of the game tonight. In two days, I will be creating a GSW/LAL trade proposal. Stay tuned.

Moody can’t be traded because he signed an extension this season. And Schroder can’t be traded until Feb. 13. Otherwise I’d probably do it.

Warriors are up against the apron with only a few hundred K to spare, it will work in your trade machines but not with the current CBA. 4-2 trades don't work unless the Warriors save a bunch of money because the team needs to sign enough spots to fill out the roster.

I'm out on Vuc anyway, especially after watching our 2nd round pick Post outplay him for 1/10th the cost.
