Re: Dennis the Menace
His issues have very little to do with the coach, he’s just a bad player. The only way Kerr is contributing to that is Schoeder is extremely lackadaisical and undisciplined and Kerr doesn’t hold him accountable. People are holding onto his good stats on bad team too much imo. Every team gets rid of him after a year because he stinks.

Re: Dennis the Menace
Last night Dennis got benched and was essentially the backup PG, playing 14 of his 20 minutes without Steph.
This is the most positive Kerr move of the year.
Unfortunately, Dennis lead the team to a 99 Offensive rating in those 14 minutes. While I think part of this is Kerr not fully embracing the Pick and Roll in non Steph minutes, a big portion is the simple fact that Dennis is playing god-awful since joining.
That being said, if Kerr sticks to this, and Dennis can get some confidence with the 2nd unit... we may still be able to sneak into the playoffs.

Re: Dennis the Menace
The Warriors have not had much success bringing in point guards to play next to Curry from D-Lo, CP3, Podz, Schroeder.
Now prior to Schroeder all those guys could not play defense which was my argument against having them. Schroeder on the other hand is good defensively for a point guard, but his fit offensively is odd. Kerr uses Schroeder like he used Ian Clark, catch and shoot in the corner and attack off weakside close outs. Melton was comfortable with that, Schroeder seems uncomfortable.
Even dating back to Ellis, Monta was a massive high usage point guard that Steph essentially was relegated to being used like JJ Reddick. It was not until Ellis left that Curry got to make the decisions and be lead guard.
Poole on the other hand made massive strides as an off ball player, and him being the most comfortable off ball allowed him to have the most success.
West was clever bringing in Livingston a 6-7 guy. He operated most all minutes opposite of Curry, but at least when he played he could take the switches 1-4 and do a great job. Livingstons ability to play defense 1-4 was really a luxury. I miss in the non-Steph minutes just letting Livingston go to work on the block.
