For what it’s worth, a sports insider in Portland who’s been a big Simons fan his whole career here said today that within the last week he believes it’s a real question if Simons is on the Blazers after the deadline.

He genuinely should have been moved the same summer the moved Dame. One major frustration I have with the Blazers post-Dame is just not picking the path of be super bad and young and develop. This weird-ass mix-match of some talented but not top-talent vets with young guys that end up having to come off the bench is stupid and counter productive.

They should have traded Simons for some picks and a backup PG vet who can teach Scoot and let him take the reigns from Game 1, not Game 94.
