Nothing supports this.

What is ''nothing''? He's better on defense than most of those guys, has better tools than most, and he's shown improvement in his skills year over year.

He's better than Cade, Banchero, and Sengun as a man and help defender.

He's got a better bag than Mobley.

Franz has a case for being better on offense but defensively they could be equal. The only thing is that playing next to a true first option in Banchero gives him an advantage and he is working with adequate spacing.

What's in that bag? Here's a direct Barnes vs. Mobley running stats comparison: https://www.fantasypros.com/nba/compare/evan-mobley-scottie-barnes.php and it shows Mobley leading in most categories, plus Mobley has more in the bag on defence.

What's interesting is Mobley (like Barnes) isn't noted for shooting but he's shooting 42% from 3PT so far. Barnes attempts more 3PT shots (155 vs. 107) but Mobley has surprisingly made more of them (45 vs. 43).

In terms of ceiling, Cade, Franz and Mobley are all on an upward trajectory with chance to be an all star this year. On the other hand, Barnes' trajectory seems to have flatten and so it's difficult right now to see Barnes with the higher ceiling.

You should look up the terminology. Mobley plays his natural position next to 3 all stars. If Mobley was the first option on a bad team he would likely suck pretty bad because he has no bag.

You cab see a big difference in how he is jumping now vs after the ankle injury. It was clear to see he was playing on it despite it bothering him. But now he has much more spring in his jump.

Add Jalen Green to the list too now....4-16 tonight

It happens

Oh...and Banchero 1-14 tonight. Herro 5-18 tonight so far

Scottie's had 4 of his last 5 games where he impacted winning without putting up monster numbers. This team is at it's best when the ball is in and out of his hands quickly whether that's shooting the ball or passing it. He also got to the line 10 times tonight mainly because he was being guarded by smaller wings, I still think he's at his best offensively as a 3 rather than a 4 where his size and strength is more of an advantage over defenders. Nice to see him score a couple times in the clutch as well.

3 or 4 doesn't really matter; wings are interchangeable on the other side most nights and they'll just put the bigger guy on him if that's how you slow him down. We need a wing that can play on the perimeter beside him so we can give him as much room as possible inside the arc, and that usually comes from the 3 spot, not the 4.

saw the highlights and misses. Scottie missed a lot of jumpers but he's feeling more comfortable with them, which is encouraging

15ppg Roy
15ppg Stagnant (consensus)
19ppg - scoring optimistism
19ppg - Adding new wrinkles, same output

Seems like a little pattern, I suspect a scoring jump next year.

Scottie in a nice groove with his game right now, it's good to see after his struggles a few weeks ago. Def benefiting from the re-emphasis on utilising his inside/mid-range game instead of forcing him into that perimeter-centric role, which was an obvious experiment on their part. But anyway, if they're gonna win games, at least he's a big two-way catalyst powering them upward.

I just hope he can stay healthy for a stretch now. It seems like everytime he gets in these hot streaks during his career he gets knocked out with a freak injury to derail his progress.

Team is better off with him not getting that all star nod.

He should get neither all-nba or all-star. Hopefully that gives him a chip on his shoulder. Guy needs to get better.

Man he’s not lying. I can’t recall it being below -10 consecutive days like this for so long. Not even February yet.
