Barnes
2025 Top 7 pick
2026 Top 10 + Top 15-20
Quickely
Barrett
Dick
Walter
Mogbo
Battle
Shead
Agbaji?

Vs.

Cade
Ivey
Duren
Thompson
Holland
Stewart
Sasser
Klintman

If it wasn't for injuries and better chemistry and coaching we could be where they are now. I would take our roster especially with us being better drafters and having 3 good picks coming in over next year. I also think Battle, Mogbo, Walter, Shead, and Chomche should yield a couple solid rotation players. As of now everyone of those guys looks good in their own way.

Barnes vs Cade:

Barnes is better on defense and there's a clear path to him getting better on offense. I can't say the same about Cade. He isn't very big or athletic and has defensive concerns that could make him a target. He's better now but that gap gets smaller year over year.

Supporting Cast

Ivey is better than any prospect we have other than Barnes. I think we get a great 2nd guy to Barnes in this draft. Whether it's Harper or a lower pick like Maluach there's good pieces here who could be better than Ivey.

Cade IS very big for his position. 6'6 220 point guard.

Listed 6'6 220 here. He's a big strong PG even if he's really 210 or whatever

Except the pistons are doing it in like year what, 5 or 6 of a rebuild? And we're doing it in "year 1" as Masai likes to call it.

That's a very big difference. If we were on the climb up after a long rebuild, yeah no one would probably be complaining, but that's not the reality of the situation. We're getting wins due to vets that either shouldn't or won't be on this team by seasons end. It does not benefit us in the slightest, no GM out there is dumb enough to see 5-7 games of Brown/Boucher/KO and be fooled into thinking they've got a steal on their hands. These guys are what they have always been, and they are playing 15-20mpg, while our rookies are in the 905 or being healthy scratches.

It's ass backwards.

Cade is good. If not in the Giannis/Lebron/Curry/KD class of MVPs, he has the rizz to be in the class of Tatum/Lillard superstars.

I agree with you, but I think you are missing the point of this thread of what I am saying. It is not ‘how would you feel if you were a Pistons fan, it is how would you feel if the Raptors were having the year the Pistons are having. Great for them but we are actually quite lucky how things have played out so far with the vets being out early and all the injuries. Hopefully this is just a temporary trade showcase period and we clear things out soon. I disagree that it has no benefit for their trade value though I admit it is limited. I think we have proved Bruce is healthy and Kelly isn’t completely washed so we should stop now.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Yeah I guess the thread is a little muddy, like if we were having a + .500 season in year 1 of the rebuild how would you feel, or how would you feel if after X years of rebuilding, how would you feel in this position, are two very different questions.

Fair point about BB/KO showing that they aren't injured/washed, but as you said, it's time to stop that, it's already resulted in 2-3 wins.

The numbers are fake bro. He skipped the draft combine for a reason. He went from 6'8 to 6'6. There is no way he's over 200lbs.

Need another blue chipper prospect, Scottie isn't a true number one. Them being .500 right now would be disastrous, sets up for a treadmill team in the future.

Return to Toronto Raptors
