Not telling you to like this specific trade.

But the team is terrible. The team projects to be terrible next year. They can backfill a passable center in the summer. So if you think the value is good, you should be willing to trade anyone but Barnes without worry about roster balance atm. This is one of the advantages of being terrible, you can focus on value in trades without having to worry about creating holes.

Um I know you’re lieing or at least forget because Len barely played on the Raptors. He played 7 games and 76 minutes total before yes he was waived, but then joined the Wizards that same year and was their starting center on their playoff team. That was the shortened preseason due to COVID so call me crazy but a 76 minute stretch to start that season is not really indicative of a guys play at all when he’s been in the league for 12 years.

Again you can have your opinion, I just disagree and given you saying you watched Len “extensively” on the Raptors when he played 76 minutes there total I question your opinion to be blunt. In fact we have people gushing over Poetl’s 15 ppg in 30 mpg, yet you suggest Len’s offense is “light years behind” Poetl YET in the same exact season you reference Len played on the Raptors he started on the Wizards in front of Gafford and Robin Lopez & averaged 7.1 ppg in 16 mpg - statistically close to Poetl on per minute basis.

Len has a career TS of 56. Poeltl 63.
Len an assist rate 7.3. Poeltl 11.7.

Add on Poeltl is a far better screener. Yes the gulf is massive on offense.

The reason Len hasn't played more than 20 minutes a game since 2019 and <10 minutes the last few season is because he isn't good and now a fringe NBA player.

Or maybe he’s just behind an all-nba center?

Like I said though, Poetl is a little better offensively than guys like Len & Adams & Gafford, and those 3 are a little better defensively - to generalize again. I mean if we’re splitting hairs I will say Poetl is slight better/preferable to Len & Adams due to age primarily but my point is they’re comparable and close.

He'd play <10 minutes behind Poeltl so the argument doesn't stand, nor do their career statistics. But okay.
