Both were -19 and -22 respectively. Ware was +8 in the loss. Miami was -17 in the 9.5 minutes he was off the court.

Very nice rebuttal. My post is withdrawn. Love Ware and he prolly fits in Memphis just as well as Edey. I’m just glad we got Wells and GG Jackson in the last two second rounds

Edey fans down bad right now

You could have had Ware too but instead drafted a dude who care barely even play.

On a positive note, Edey gets to play the Hornets today so maybe he can put up 10 points lol

LOL. Stats and performances only count if your team wins?

Typical sour grapes among fans lobbying for their Rookie and the ROY award.

It happens every year like clockwork.

Looking back at the way the draft fell, who has remorse on not taking Ware? OKC? Washington? Atlanta?

Atlanta and Washington probably not

The obvious answer is Memphis who needed a rim protecting big and instead they drafted a guy who’s barely playable

Kel'el can only miss 2 more games, must play 37 of 39, to be eligible. Him being such a short price favourite for ROTY so quickly, not sure if people realise his eligibility relies on almost perfect health. And he is not just a rookie putting up stats with a negative impact like most inefficient rookies. His WS/48, VORP and BPM etc, are basically at the top of the class and all + impact. If the Heat find themselves out of the playoff race, imagine the last few games of the season may see them rest him to increase draft odds, if they are in the playoffs, then those teams often rest players if their position is locked. I was considering betting on him when he started putting it together but I could see Spo resting him for the last 3 games of the season, which would have driven me nuts.

ROY and 6th Man don't have a games requirement.

Kel’el’s biggest opponent against winning ROY is Spoelstra.

Man i was wrong about this guy. He was such a raw prospect just 6 months ago. He got so much better in such short period of time. I thought he will need 2-3 years just to be rotation player and now he is couple of years of being average to above average starter. One more great role player pick by Pelicans FO. Too bad our starts are either awful or cant stay on the court.

Dunn is already an elite defender. He will get better with his offense and might be the top 5 player from this class when revisited.

Edey and Wells are the best rookies this year. I don’t think it’s particularly close. Other guys are flashing but these guys have been starting for a legit contender

Ware is gonna join that club if he keeps it up. By that club I mean being a top rookie, I'm not delusional enough to think the Heat are contending for anything besides the play-in.
