Have you seen what's happening in the league right now? Portland already leapt us. Nets, Raptors, Pels, Hornets all have softer schedules than we do and all of them play us and other higher lotto teams more often than we do. We could seriously have a shot at the 4th lotto slot if we lose properly.

I just don't see them out tanking these teams that are literally selling assets. 4th worst is what they need, but still.... I'll believe it when I see it

First, if all the teams below us have to play each other between 11-15x it means there's wins those teams will HAVE to pick up. We still have several games against teams just beneath us so if we tank those games we boost them and sink us.

Second, you don't think we'll sell what few viable assets we have? Yabu and Oubre likely get sent out. Maybe cut Gordon to avoid nights like this where he remembers how to shoot. Joel benched, PG and Maxey on a mins restriction.

The point is, it's not that unlikely and winning for "pride" is just dumb at this point.
