Jerry truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

If he continues both the Cowboys and Schottenheimer tradition of choking in the playoffs, then I guess he's Marty now.

Dumb Dak, Jerry and now Brian. How wonderful. Hall of Fame material. :ouch:   I don't think Cowboy nation has the stomach to really do what needs to be done here. I'm sure the new generation fans will just soak all of this up and support Jerry no matter what. Jerry would rather lose doing it his way instead of winning doing it someone else's way. Well, what's another 4 years after 29 years at this point.

No one in Cowboys Nation is happy today. The Jones’ are getting cooked on Twitter by the fans. I just wish the media had the nuts to make him answer for this hire in the press conference. Instead they kiss his ass and make it seem like he’s always doing the right thing. There are a couple of National guys though that will make him uncomfortable.

So, Saints are the lone team still searching for a head coach, right?

Well they didn't get a big name, someone who's already won a lot as a HC or a hotshot coordinator that everyone wanted.

They were likely not going to get that kind of candidate because they'd want more power, more say on personnel.

Jerry apparently doesn't want to go through that again, since the Cowboys are making money hadn't over fist, maybe he thinks he's doing it right.

This is on par with Jeff Saturday somehow landing the Colts job, albeit on an interim basis. I genuinely can't think of a more head scratching hire. Somehow Jerry has out Jerry'd himself, again.

Big name coaches want personnel control and some say on players in the draft they need. B.Schottenheimer has none of that like all the coaches before him. Didn't you get the memo?

How is he the architect? Buffalo offense is worse than it was 2 years ago.

Make no mistake, who they hired as HC doesn’t matter. It could have been Any of the hot names this coaching cycle and the results will be the same as long as Jerry or Stephen are in charge (really any of Jerry’s kids). When healthy they will win a lot of games, and be in the hunt for the NFC East title. Then they will proceed to lose in round 1 or 2. Rinse, Wash, repeat.

Cowboys fans are not upset at Schottenheimer. I actually feel sorry for the guy because his whole life is about to get turned upside down and (no joke) he won’t be able to go anywhere in Dallas without the fans ripping him a new one. He might actually be a nice guy but Jerry/Stephen have really **** this guy.

Jerry has already come out this off season and said he doesn’t give a **** about the fans. HE bought this team to be HIS toy, and HIS occupation. He’s an excellent marketer and has built a cash cow for him and his family. He’s doing great while destroying a once great and proud franchise. The Cowboys might as well be the Arizona Cardinals or the Jacksonville Jaguars at this point.

Actually big difference. Schottenheimer probably shouldn’t be a HC but he does have respect around the league as a coach. Jeff Saturday had zero coaching experience and was just the owner’s best friend. If Jerry had hired Jason Witten to be the HC THAT would have been the same as hiring Jeff Saturday.

Kellen Moore will go to the Saints and win the Super Bowl within the next 5 years. Jerry will have to see another top assistant of his to leave another team (when he had the chance to hire them) and win the SB.
